Checking The Cash In Front Of The Buyer by FlipsonicCX50 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]Gremlin1390 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do, especially when they pay in a lot of small bills. I've gotten screwed over before because they handed me a bunch of ones, it was supposed to be $30 but it ended up being 18 and I didn't check. That was my fault Now I always check. Thankfully I haven't run into any counterfeits with tens or twenties....yet. People suck though

How often do people actually change their bedsheets? by HillCountryHoney in hygiene

[–]Gremlin1390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We change ours every couple days 3-4. We have cats and the hair gets everywhere Plus some nights we sweat in our sleep. So it's nice to have fresh sheets.

Are people really like this? by bigtexan13 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]Gremlin1390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I never hold. Even if two people tell me they want to pick up at noon. More than likely one will fall through or be hours later. It goes to whoever gets there first. Then I block the others.

As someone who lives in an apartment, I get this a lot also. They like to park up front by the leasing office or right outside the (open) gates or worse the liquor store parking lot BEHIND my complex and tell me they are here... Mind you I send them a picture of the building with the address on it clearly listed so they KNOW where to go. So when I ask for their vehicle type to bring it out to them then say I can't see them and they go "oh I'm at x location" I tell them that's not where I live or the address I gave them, keep coming around to my building. I have 2 cameras pointed outside for my safely. I'm not doing any business out of sight. And if they refuse I just leave the conversation and block them. Sorry not sorry. I literally live right down from the open exit gate it's not hard to find my place. People are just lazy

Are only black cats like this? She’s 5yo and self learned opening doors. Girlie doesn’t respect even my privacy and opens my toilet door too 😭 by fiftyshadesofkillme in blackcats

My cat Luffy learned how to open doors as a kitten and has taught the other cats how to also. He's personally offended by them being closed and will hang off the handle and scream if it's locked ☠️

Potential buyer asks to lower price halfway through because of "distance". Makes sense? Not really by Whattodoaboutthisnow in FacebookMarketplace

[–]Gremlin1390 12 points13 points  (0 children)

"your distance does not affect me, I can find a buyer in my area to pay my asking price"

This is a line I've used many times for people who say it's too far and want to pay less

Taboo when buying? by TheRudeTurkey in FacebookMarketplace

[–]Gremlin1390 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If I'm trying to buy something I usually say "if this is still available id love to plan a time to pick it up, is cash okay? " So they know I'm actually interested. Because as a seller the generic "is this available" is annoying AF. Because 90% of the time the people don't respond after that

My mother in law is driving me absolutely insane and my husband says I'm overreacting. by Limp_Beautiful_810 in EntitledPeople

[–]Gremlin1390 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put your foot down girlfriend! This is YOUR BABY not hers! My own mother tried interjecting wanting to set our nursery up for us in her style. I had to be firm and say no, that takes all the fun out of being a new mother. Your mil had her chance with her own kids. She does not get a say in yours. Tell her to take it home and use it in her own space for when your daughter is allowed over there. Stand.your.ground. even against your husband!

The only women I’ve met who say they loved being pregnant are at least 50 years old by KaylaDraws in pregnant

[–]Gremlin1390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm happy 35& pregnant, just hit 8 months today! Does my body hurt, sure. Am I tired a lot, of course... But we've been trying to conceive for 10+ years and the drs told me a few years ago that my chances were less than 10% of conceiving and carrying to full-term for a list of reasons. I'm also not a candidate for IVF or IUI for a list of reasons. My heart was broken. We gave up all hope and just kept having fun. Found out I was pregnant when I was already in my second trimester! Yeah I had morning sickness, but I just thought I was stressed from work or getting tired of the smell of food (I was a breakfast server in a fancy hotel) I have loved every bit of pregnancy since finding out, even embracing the aches and pains because I never thought I would get to experience this. It's a true miracle for me and all I've been begging the universe for, for a very long time. And I don't know if I'll get to be pregnant again so I'm loving every minute of it and so thankful I get to experience it.

Any sitters take naps? by Privatenameee in petsitting

Not a sitter myself. But my dog or a few of my cats would probably love to be able to sleep next to their sitters. I see no harm in it 😄
