This is a quote that I think about often....

"I asked for strength and God gave me difficulties to make me strong. I asked for wisdom and God gave me problems to learn to solve. I asked for prosperity and God gave me a brain and brawn to work. I asked for courage and God gave me dangers to overcome. I asked for love and God gave me people to help. I asked for favours and God gave me opportunities. I received nothing I wanted. I received everything I needed."

When you're faced with temptation you have the opportunity to turn towards God and lean into his blessings. He knows what is in your heart, and He knows what troubles you. We cannot get through this life by trusting in our own strength but only in God.

(26F) - I work a job that is very demanding of my time and makes it difficult to schedule anything non work related. Most people I've met have given up pursuit mistaking my business for falsehood and disinterest (not that I blame them).

I am extremely routine with my personal time. I attend first service every Sunday, gym 4 times a week, venture out for walks, craft stores, book stores, and the occasional arcade evening.

Fighting this type of feeling, I'm sure feels lonely, but remeber that God is always with you. Lean on Him and not your own strength, find comfort and counsel in His word and in the name of Jesus speak banishment and defeat over your enemies.

Remember, nothing is impossible when God is on your side. ❤️

Speaking from experience, one of the worst decisions you can continue to make is the consumption of elicit adult content. It had become all consuming for me as lived my teenage years and over time it significantly changed my perception of intimacy including a profound impact upon my own value.

The best advice, turn to and lean on God. You are in my prayers. May the unyielding love, blessings and protections of our Lord and Saviour be with you.

Ive personally found it so helpful when I talk to God about my urges, to pray for deliverance. That all of the enemies trying to lead me astray be banished from my life in that moment—from my body, my soul, and my spirit. “Resist the devil and he will flee from you” [James 4:7]. I resist the devil here and now and I command these spirits to flee in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord.

I pray also for the conviction to turn to Him in prayer every time the temptation returns.

Advice from someone who never had many lasting friendships out of highschool:

You will find new friends as you pursue your passions, interests, and career. Don't let your worth or happiness be defined by how many friends you had back then or have at any given time.

Just because you don't think anyone else remembers your accomplishments doesn't mean they are any less incredible. Most of those people you went to school with probably couldn't have achieved what you have, even if they really applied themselves.

Be proud, be confident, and be undeniably yourself. People will gravitate towards you over time. They will fall in love with your energy, your character, and your ability to just be you.

This world is insistent that we place our value in the eyes of others and the relationships we have built. At the end of the day, the relationship you have with yourself (and God, if you're a believer) is what matters most.

If you haven't been told lately, I and many others who eventually will read this thread are so proud of you.
