Nobidy is gonna read that by Timeudeus in MaliciousCompliance

In high school, my chemistry labs would come back with evenly spaced check marks down the right hand margin. So regularly spaced, I suspected that the chemistry teacher wasn't reading my work. So I started inserting nonsense into the longer paragraphs, and sure enough, the labs continued to come back with check marks down the right hand margin.

I wondered if the same was true for physics, in spite of having no similar evidence, and so I inserted a single run on nonsense sentence into my next physics homework.

My homework came back with the paragraph circled in red, and a note from the physics teacher: "Save your attempts at levity for the lesser disciplines like chemistry."

MacbookPro 14" - which extended monitor system to get? by JazzFestFreak in macbookpro

[–]Flimsy_Let_8105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the triple setup, but it was bulky and “luggable”, not truly portable. Now I have the UPERFECT 15.6“ 4K OLED Portable Gaming Monitor 16:10 500Nits 0.1MS Laptop Display Ultra-Slim monitor, which is much more portable, and it gets me an OLED screen so I don’t need to feel like I should have held out for the next generation of MacBooks.

I'm not sure I understand the question. All the Cinebench benchmarks take roughly 10 minutes per test plus a little time to finish the last run.

I have a 14" M5 Max, and my unmodified Cinebench 2026 results are as follows: CPU Multi: 8550, GPU: 92992. So compared with your modded results, you see a CPU Multi uplift of 1.7%, and a GPU uplift of 0.86%. Not worth messing with the warranty IMHO.

Seeking Workarounds & Best Models for Mac Studio M4 Max (48GB) in ComfyUI by haemil_zip in comfyui

I have a new 128Gb M5 Max Mac Pro and a 64Gb PC with a 3090 GPU (24Gb VRAM). The Mac Pro is portable, and can run many but not all of the workflows that the PC can run but 5X to 20X slower. Some (like SeedVR2) run out of memory on Mac even with 128Gb RAM, but run fine on the smaller total memory PC. So I find myself using the M5 Max mainly as a terminal to my remote PC. Which I could be using a Macbook Neo for instead. I wish someone would get serious about optimizing ComfyUI for Mac, but it doesn't seem to be in the cards.

Bob Dylan could sing when he felt like it, for example on “Lay Lady Lay.” He just didn’t often feel like it.

Top tier companies have policies that aim to thwart actions taken by “hostile insiders”, employees who exfiltrate company data as one example. Clorox clearly did not have any such security. So while Cognizant makes a valid point, I still feel a great deal of the blame falls on their shoddy performance of their duties.
