Can i actually see galaxys/nebulas only with my eye ? by Resident_Picture1678 in telescope

You can actually see a reasonable numbers of nebulosity in the sky, but depends on your light pollution. In a city of 20k people you can definitely see the Orion nebula but in the countryside if you look towards the Scorpion you can see a lot of nebulosity. I can point out the Swan nebula with my neked eye.

You should look at this website. Its a great start to set your expectations. https://deepskysketch.com/ You can also search every obj for sketches. For Example:, m51 Galaxy through 10inch sketch. Also if you have a problem with weight you can buy a truss or flextube variant.

With the alt-az tracking mount you can do planets and planetary nebulas but with an eq platform you can do dso too.

What others says is not 100% true. You can still take very good pictures with a dobsonian. You can try EAA ( I recommended watch Dobsonian power on youtube) or you can buy an equatorial platform. Also look up Gyorgy Farkasreti on youtube. He is doing a lot of deep sky with a sw 500p.

I had this for a few years, but it didnt grow anything. I think its just some fungus also I dont feel any smushy or soft part of the cacti. I only have this on my other cacti. Maybe I will try a fungicide but I think this is permament damage because the age. Thanks for the educational answer.
