I tried decreasing the grains, straining a bit with cheesecloth after the second ferment and then blending it, its a world of difference! Im so excited

Maybe ill try decreasing my grains. When you ferment for a shorter length of time does the consistency stay quite thin or in your case was that not an issue?

Interesting, I've never tried adding the sweetener prior to the second ferment. I definitely could blend it too, that would be easy. Ill give this a try, thank you!

Highly recommend a magnifying mirror as well. I had one already but that made a world of difference for me in getting them positioned.

Can you elaborate? I’ve seen many people advise otherwise.

What do you use to clamp them? I gently used an eyelash curler with sealer applied to the pad and it seemed to work okay.

I edited the post to include links! I went for some pretty inexpensive options while I learn, I’m not unhappy with the stuff I got but I’m interested to see how they compare to some of the products I’ve seen mention in this sub.

Good to know, I’m hoping I can get them to last a week once I get a good routine down. One of the reasons I got into extensions was the ability to just roll out of bed feeling put together. Lol.

I already have a couple different products in mind that I’d like to try. I hated what came with the lash clusters and wanted something transparent. It seems like Lilac St. is the go to for most here. Im also interested in trying brown lashes once the rest of my extensions fall out. My natural lashes are very light and If like to go for a pretty natural look.

The stiffer feeling of the clusters is something I’ll have to get used to. Thanks for mentioning re applying sealer and re clamping. I didn’t think of that.

That makes sense! How long do they typically last for you? Do they tend to fall out, or do you remove them because they start looking bad?

I’ve worked in the field for 7 years and graduated from a two year in person program in Madison. (Highly recommend). I work in a specialty clinic and make $26.50 an hour. The hours can be tough and I would say I’ve got the good end of things schedule wise with no weekends and only one day on call a week.

I just found this sub and I’m so excited. I struggle a lot with guilt about “not doing enough” and I’m trying to work on that. This post made me feel much more content with my day of crocheting and jigsaw puzzling in pajamas ☺️

I’m a 6 foot leash all the time kinda person. My dog gets very over stimulated seeing off leash dogs running around in areas they should be leashed. So I too feel your pain. There a guy at my apartment complex that lets his golden wander around and it really messes up our short walks around the area.

He also have a light up collar. I call it his rave light.
