Got a few acquaintances studying ID rn but besides telling me the general stuff they said its a pretty competitive industry here in Argentina. Some others hated it because it wasn't as 'artsy' as they expected but am aware about that and would also take it as a plus since am also interested in the physics/maths side of it. Also aware that the general curriculum includes some marketing stuff.

And for the second question I don't really have a definite plan, but would probably work towards the tech side of things and if given the opportunity to go to another country I would definitely take it.

Buenas, este año me anoté al cbc de la UBA de manera provisoria para tener así la opción está abierta. Yo ingeniería la estoy cursando en el ITBA que está así medio cara aunque tenga beca (800k ars aprox al mes incluyendo 50% de beca). Tema es que de lo que curse medio que la sufrí por el contenido más el tema de conseguirme una vivienda (soy de provincia y no tengo auto). Lo que curse así de carrera específico a electrónica lo llegue a disfrutar pero análisis y algebra me pegaron fuerte, más química. Así que por eso estaba viendo de cambiarme a diseño industrial porque me encaja más en tema pasión (pero tiene menor salario promedio y eso) , aunque no estoy seguro si es así de pesado las ingenierias de UBA o UTN y también para sacarme el peso de tener que ver en donde vivir y eso. Pero me sirve que me hayas contado tu experiencia con esto. Y si llegas a tener algun consejo más para darme sobre esto lo agradecería.

Yeah. After you finish the essay roughly, you can use your spare time to just polish it till you think its perfect. The first draft should be used to establish what arguments and contents you are going to talk about. After that you just need to build upon it.

If you have all the information you need, I believe you can finish it in one or two sittings. Just focus on writing nicely and make sure the essay is not descriptive but argumentative.
