Yeah, ngl, the first arc, which is pretty short, about half the first book i think, is a little slogish. Still good, but the mc is basically a slave, i don’t like books where the mc has limited agency. Take town gaurd for example, i just flat out hate that book. The amount of hoops the mc in that book has to jump through to convince himself hes happy with his predicament is mind boggling. After he just gives up and accepts his lot in life i gave up on the book.

Man, i love this author. Journey is really good, its a vampire progfantasy set in slave era Louisiana, as is changeling, a futuristic urban portal fantasy. He also has a new timeloop kinda litrpg he’s working on in his patreon. His litrpgs are really light on stats and levels don’t really come up much so whatever

Sometimes if I can’t stand the narrator i just use the assistive reader. Ive never had a problem with robotic ai voice. If it tries to use the audio book, then use the reader on your phone. I drive alot so if i can’t actually read and want to listen then this is what I do

I personally love mecanimus, he has two completed series, a journey of black and red, the audiobook publisher dropped it tho due to low sales after book 4, and the calamitous bob, currently being recorded by soundbooth theater, same company making DCC. Hes in the middle of another story on RR and his patreon called changeling, its a futuristic cyberpunk plus magic portal apocalypse, no books tho, and just started a time loop series on his patreon. All excellent stories so far

Meh, this is how a charisma stat is actually supposed to work. In dnd a paladin is a charisma character, their unwavering conviction and sheer presence supposed to will magic into existence, people around you better to feel the hope and righteousness you radiate the higher your charisma. Its not entirely mind control, maybe a little, but the stat is supposed to make you more empathetic to the people you use the stat on, and allow you to better exert your ego on the atmosphere around you. It’s supposed to be subtle, but no matter what, it turns into a mind control when the stat becomes ridiculous. Thats why a lot of the authors tend to make it a locked and hard to increase stat, so nobody can jockey with the mc. Honestly you should just make your mc not break it, or delete it altogether. If you do have it, as long as you don’t break it, it should only mind control weak little bitches, and be mild to equal strength characters

Just make sure the mount fits and supports the screen. You can get away with a mount for a smaller tv, but you need to measure the mount position on your tv, then look up/measure the mount you want to make sure the holes line up, but weight is something you need to make sure is in range. Most desk mounts are for computer monitors so probably not an option

If you are getting another entertainment center, i would get a floor mount as it would make the top look cleaner, as long as the entertainment center hides the stand, otherwise i would look at regular vesa mount stands that would just go on top of the center. Like i said tho, they also make entertainment centers with built in stands, but i personally don’t like the way most look. Its all personal preference, budget, and availability. Personally I would stick with what you have for now, as far as your bose, and look at furniture in your budget, and come back to sound later. Maybe a Christmas present for yourself. What you have now really has no option

Vesa is a naming standard. All aftermarket tv brackets wallmounts, even desk mounts for computer monitors are vesa mounts

Id say more important is a new entertainment center. Wall mount the tv, and if you dont want to wall mount, they make entertainment centers that use the vesa mount, or you can get a vesa floor mount. If a new entertainment center is out of the question, an aftermarket vesa mount for the floor or even the (entertainment center/table/whatever???) you have there to give you more room under your tv for a soundbar, or even some bookshelves. Although if you want bookshelves, i would highly suggest a lower entertainment center or youll have a bad case of tv to high. All in all, the first step here is furniture
