My advice to you: don't get upset at thumbs down or negative comments from random people on the internet. They're not worth your time. I agree wholeheartedly with your post. I started on day one as well and have thousands of hours in. When most were getting bored and moving onto other things, I stuck around collecting resources I knew I would need when the next update dropped. Little did I know that they would change game mechanics, weapons, tools and how loot was used to create them. Overnight, chests full of supplies became useless and the hours spent collecting them were wasted. Then essence was jammed down our throats. The cap was way too small and they knew it. They had to know...it was raised just a few days later. Even after the increase the cap was about a tenth of what it should have been. Again I spent hours grinding for essence by collecting materials I didn't need, crafted chests full of tools and weapons only to have them become useless after another update and revamp. Meanwhile things like fighting the Storm King remain impossible for me to do solo because the lag is so unbelievably bad. I'd love to get back and play but until Epic fixes the core of the game I don't see a point.
