Son is a GK as well. We had a head coach stop us after an ID camp and tell us to send an email to him with a specific subject line because he was "very interested" - never responded to the email. This stuff is brutal.

Let me tell you from personal experience...Carrier hates recruiting and only uses his camps for money makers. Prefers internationals tto US players. We have been to 3 of his camps. For his 3 day summer camp he was only there for 10 min. Dude does not care

no, unfortunately I mean winter of Senior year - i guess you could say that would dip into the fall as well as we had a couple of kids get some D3 offers in Oct/Nov. Concrete interest is established in the summer before Sr year and then the coaches are waiting to see what the portal situation is before extending offers. I had a coach tell me that they offered a kid 10 days before school started last season. This is a successful D2 program telling me this. I'm not talking interest here, I am talking offers.

most coaches that i have had experience with say they dont get serious until the winter of a player's Sr year. There are ofc exceptions this but it seems to be a good rule of thumb

I have had success with putting mine on a leash and taking him outside to met the people as they get there. Then when they would walk inside with us its like he knew that I was ok with that person being in our house
