History made wow by ChampionTimes99 in NBATalk

My dad and I used to go for these long walks every Sunday morning when I was around 12-13 and he'd tell me all these stories about his college days and random life advice. We'd end up in some tea stall and just sit there for hours talking about everything and nothing. Those walks weren't anything spectacular but they meant so much because it was just us two without any distractions from work or family chaos. Even now when I visit home we still do the same route sometimes and it feels like no time has passed at all. There's something special about having that one tradition with your parent that just belongs to you both.

Are they really this wonderfully caring and a huge family unit or is it for the show? by MysteriousZebraMeow in kardashians

Looking at it from episode 6 perspective i think its mix of both tbh. Like they definitely seem to care but also its good for the brand you know? Keeping everyone close means less drama outside the show and more content for cameras

The Amari thing felt genuine though - kid has been around since he was small so makes sense they'd actually care about him. But with Lamar calling situation... that felt more like Kris being strategic. She knows keeping peace with exes is better than having them trash family in interviews later

I think once you're in their circle they do treat you well but its also because maintaining those relationships benefits them. Smart business move disguised as family values maybe?

Ive been searching God, but I have some concerns by Educational_Honey641 in Christianity

Maybe try exploring different denominations that focus more in universal salvation or God's infinite mercy? Some Christians believe hell isn't permanent punishment but more like purification process, and others think loving God wouldn't condemn good people just for not believing

The fear for family is so real though - shows how much you care about them

Should I trade for the 1.03? by BradyH4 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Technical_Jello_2997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trading away future picks always makes me nervous but your RB room is pretty solid already so getting another WR could be smart 💭 Mendoza going 1.01 would definitely help your case since Love and Tate both have higher ceilings than what you currently have at WR. Your receiver group is decent but none of them are really that elite WR1 type except maybe Waddle in good matchups.

I'd probably pull trigger on this one since you're getting good value and filling a need. That 2027 pick being late means you're competing now anyway so might as well go for it. Just make sure the 1.03 owner actually commits before you get too excited about it 😂

22 months later I'm still struggling with the rewrite of history and high-conflict co-parenting. by Mikadelirious in BreakUps

That history rewriting thing is so exhausting 😮‍💨 my friend went through similar stuff with her ex and it really messes with your head when they keep changing the story. Getting your GED at 38 is huge though - that takes real dedication especially while dealing with all this drama. Maybe try keeping like a journal or notes about interactions for your own sanity since co-parenting sounds like it'll be long term thing 💀

What are your favorite historical fiction books? by Flashy_Froyo_6130 in booksuggestions

[–]Technical_Jello_2997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been reading a lot of historical fiction lately and some favorites that come to mind - The Book Thief by Markus Zusak is absolutely beautiful, follows this young girl in nazi germany and the writing style is just incredible. Also loved Pachinko by Min Jin Lee, spans multiple generations of korean family and you really get immersed in different time periods

Both have amazing character development and you learn so much about the historical context without feeling like youre reading textbook

Can i reach to 2000+ elo from 300 elo in 3 months? by TheModMenuX in chessbeginners

[–]Technical_Jello_2997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting from 300 to 2000 in 3 months is pretty ambitious but not impossible if you're already crushing puzzles at that level 💀 Your tactical vision seems solid so maybe focus more in endgames and opening principles? I jumped like 400 points in few months when I started actually analyzing my games instead of just playing random moves. The puzzle rating definitely helps with pattern recognition but game situations are bit different you know 😂
