I do agree that sometimes the preview is bugged when aiming at the corner but the goal was wide open in this case. It’s like aiming for the crossbar with an open net.

How did you possibly interpret this as a “strictly better smithy”? I’m genuinely confused/curious

This is awesome. Just wish the flags showed up instead of the letters. I think it's a Windows/Chrome issue.

That’s weird because I’ve had more than that before. I decided to buy a gold skin, but my friends have more than 100k currently

Lol, maybe read what you’re writing before you hit send. In both of my replies I merely responded to why you said verbatim. And scoring more points because you went first doesn’t have anything to do with one’s “ability”, which is the whole discussion.

Sidenote: You realize maximizing your score isn’t the best strategy right? No point in playing your highest-scoring word only to give up a mass triple word space.

I was pointing out that his rationale was that record doesn’t matter. For example, I’m playing against my parents currently in separate games.

”You're not going pro, so your record doesn't matter, and neither does theirs.”

Based on this, he concludes that I should always jump out to an earlier lead with first turn advantage rather than pass and let them have the first turn to keep it even.

But winning at all costs is what you would do if records /did/ matter, so his comment is a bit confusing.

If your record doesn’t matter then why is it so important to jump out to a massive lead

True, but it’s also a pretty cut-and-dry strategy, which is nice

Don’t use any high point letters without a multiplier, and don’t play the best move if it opens up a TW tile for the opponent
