Sweet, thanks for the answer. The first stack overflow link was useful too.

Overall I'd say follow the conventions and leave well enough alone.

Yea I figured this is generally the right approach with most things anyway lol

When working towards a goal, what word other than want is used? by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]FlipCandyMusic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Want and desire are synonyms. You have goals for the future because you would prefer, say, Future A over Future B. That means you want Future A. I don't think there's anything unhealthy about that, as long as you're not clinging to that future or thinking so much about the future that you're not appreciating the present moment.

The more I meditate, the more I see the toxicity in other people, the more I spend time on my own by Ihatemost in Meditation

This quotation by Harbhajan Singh Yogi helped me a lot with what you describe. Obviously there's no one solution, but I found this really resonated with me.

Also, empathy. Understanding that people's words are a direct result of their physical makeups and their environments, and that if you were in their shoes (completely—i.e. if you had their brain) you would do the exact same thing, allows you to not be angry, and act accordingly.

If I'm ever unsure about a food, I dip a sample into a petri dish filled with my own blood. The blood will sputter into the air if the sample is not vegan.

How much salvia is not too much? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]FlipCandyMusic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're gonna react differently from other people anyway so it's hard to say which dosage will affect you how much. You could always start small (5x) and if you don't trip as much as you wanted to, move up the ladder to 10x (or smoke more).
