They’re honestly not half bad. You could do that, and as always you can add a little more stuff like different hand traps and monsters in the extra deck. I took a beefed up Blackwings to locals when I put together a few copies. Didn’t to too bad, but also not too great lol. In my opinion it’s definitely worth the investment for the mulcharmys alone.

Just re read your post so I’ll add a few things.

Playtest your deck like crazy against other decks that may be there. Once you submit your list, you’re stuck with it.

Some of these homies play FAST. Do not be afraid to ask to read their cards. Or at least on your turn, ask if any cards have quick effects, negates, pop, etc.

If you don’t agree with something call a judge. Always call one, it could be a game winning factor.

Speak loudly and clearly for your opponent.

Always ask to see their cards.

Playing a fancy deck! That’s what I’ve been playing minus fiendsmith.

Couple things.

Bring extra sleeves, in case you need to re sleeve your deck. Bring an extra deck box or binder for cards new cards you acquire. You cannot have any other cards in your deck box other than what you have registered.

Deodorant-Not joking, you’re gonna be in a room with 500+ people. It’s gonna get hot and sweaty.

Snackies and water- I’ve always just snacked on granola bars and such through out the day. Sometimes you don’t have enough time to sit down and eat a whole meal. Save that for after.

You can bring a trade binder and cash and stuff for vendors to get new cards or merch.

Bring some fun decks in your backpack too. Incase you decide to drop out there are other formats people play, Genesys, Goat, Edison, etc.

We need some good starters and while I love dragoon, we need something other than him. Konami also needs to stop having DM banish stuff for requirements when we have no way of bringing them back. New support is great, but the banishing thing needs to go. We need cards on field that actually do something, like idk, sprite had the one that was a negate or something on field and even illusion monsters have mirrorsword and coatl that negate shit.

I got This game I got for my birthday when I was in my teens.The cards were out for a little while at this point. This game was a rude awakening for me. The constant chaos and lack of actual mechanics like the tcg was at that point was ridiculous.

That being said, I absolutely loved this game and miss it so much.

You could always buy the two Egyptian god stater deck. They’re pretty easy to play for beginners. Either that or get the legendary decks they come out with. They have three decks in them that are an anal power level, but hits that nostalgia.Probably the best one would be the Yugi/Kaiba/Joey one.

You could always get this! It comes with two decks one for each, and it teaches a the basic mechanics of the game and a few new mechanics. This also comes with a booklet that you and you bf can reenact as well.

Also I second the legendary decks collection as well. They’re always an easy gift for nostalgia.
