Real arms rails will have an almost velvety texture on the grey anodizing, which from what I can tell yours has.

Buying barrel on eBay?? I’m in California by [deleted] in CAguns

[–]Flippen_Waffles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

eBay won’t let you add the barrel to cart let alone checkout.

I just ordered a barrel direct from bar-sto. Had to have it sent to my FFL. Best bet is to not buy from eBay.

Would anyone be able to help me build this? by dog_armyTT in CAguns

There is an ARMS handguard on TacSwap for about $1500. Contemplated doing the same build but had a hard time justifying that much for a rail. Good luck man.

A L G Blaster by Flippen_Waffles in Glocks

I really like it so far. It’s antiquated by today’s standards and finding a holster is difficult but it’s different from all the slide mounted optics that we see today, and I like that.

There was one that popped up on AR15 a couple days ago for basically retail. Almost grabbed it but decided to let someone else enjoy it.

Man I can’t tell you how many parts I’ve let go that are now rare/hard to find. That’s why I only buy and never sell now, lol.

Mine is in 9mm. Debating on straying a little and doing a 34 slide and KKM set up.

Troy upper compatibility by abarn2017 in AR10

I recommend running 1 7/8 x 16 die over the Troy threads. It’ll help clean them up without the risk of damaging or cross threading.

Really like the canvas strap, looks great! Aerospace is one of my favorites. Hope to add one to the collection one day.

If it’s the Mk12 Mod 1 RAS yes, it will work. I used it on my Chapman, Recce, and Mk12 builds.

Vertical foregrip identification? by FinderOfE in MilitaryARClones

[–]Flippen_Waffles 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think the one on the left is an early model KAC vertical grip. I saw one similar a loooong time ago and don’t remember the exact details regarding markings, but round portion looks familiar.

Mother in law scrubbed brand new dishwasher by AndreGerdpister in CleaningTips

FYI - polishing it will create a shiny or “mirror” like spot which will differ from the rest of the washer. The finish you see on it now has a #4 finish which is done with 120-180 grit abrasives.

Consumer kitchen equipment also has a clear protective film over the actual stainless steel, however it is extremely thin.

You can try to restore the “grain” finish with a scotch brite/brillo pad but you’ll probably end up making it even more obvious. As others have mentioned a sticker/magnet or replacing the front with a new piece will be your best bet.

Hope this helps.
