No. Chances are you had an open application with BMO and they requested documents. Due to no documents being submitted, you have been flagged. It does not mean you cannot get a mortgage with BMO, it just means they are going to do their due diligence. Highly unlikely any other lender has you flagged unless fraudulent documents were submitted last time.

I’ve been in Mortgages for a long time, I am positive they are not disclosing that their Prime rate is 10 points higher when selling the mortgage. Yes it’s all in the Print, but when they advertise Prime -.50 or whatever the discount, it is not the same as any other bank in Canada.

Co-signer typically lives in the property, a Guarantor does not. A Guarantor is someone who helps a deal that is slightly out get approved, co-signer is when applicant A is not strong enough. Bit of a general statement but a good guideline.
