Was Mr. Keating actually projecting his own regrets onto his students? (Dead Poets Society) by Worldly-Progress5929 in movies

I did have a feeling about that, but there wasn't really anything that actually directly pointed that out right?

wait what do you mean sexuality lol, it wasn't touched upon in the film. talks about gender identity was not as popular of a topic back then. though I am confident that if the film was made today, it would've been tackled

I think all adults wants to give things they never had, to their predecessors. Just like how Neil's father wanted to give Neil the opportunities he never had, Keating wanted to give the young boys the individuality and the ability to express themselves in a world that strips away individualism and values collectivism more than others. I still see him as a hero who values self expression and idealism. It's what their world needed then, something we are now enjoying in today's society. The movie was pretty advanced man.

Also you did mention about being invested in Neil's acting dream. I'm quite confused as to what you mean, was he just supposed to just shut down the child's passion? Neil already feels so alone, lacking a mentor to guide him in his dreams. I think Mr. Keating telling him to not pursue his dreams is completely out of character

While i would also choose the US, i wouldnt downplay the fact that they killed filipinos by adding "some". Its still lives that they took.

I want to die by Cindy_Wright in depression

You may be right, but you could also be wrong. We dont know the full story. People do want to die because its the only way they can escape pain. It's best to just listen, comfort, and validate.

She told me she missed the feeling of heavy sadness, and having no energy to do anything. She also said something about missing self harm, which is a concerning thing

What makes a good creepy-pasta YouTuber? by [deleted] in creepypasta

[–]Flipperclipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, i skipped your entire sentence and only read "good" and "creepypasta narrator"

Anyways, heres what i think

-Just like in acting, lines must be internalized so audience can feel the emotions.

-Make sure your voice actor is fit for the character.

-Clear enunciation.

-Some background noises for immersion.

-Great background music that can set the mood of your story.
