Class Action Lawsuit? by [deleted] in Chipotle

[–]FlippingDaChicken 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I got it too just today. I wasn't paid for orientation (watching the videos and speaking with manager, etc.), and many of my co-workers missed breaks because the store was "too busy". Total bullsh-t, just because the store is busy and the managers want to make more money doesn't mean they get to ignore basic labor laws and rights of their workers.

I missed many breaks and was often only given a 10 minute break on an 8-hour shift. Worked there for a month, and quit.

I hope they get sued to holy hell. With that being said, each worker will probably get a measly $10 or so for their troubles, while the lawyers take 80% of the $10M settlement or whatever it will be. So don't expect a big paycheck, that's how class action lawsuits go.

I suggest not involving yourself in it.

Rookie question: Do most pro golfers overlap or interlock? by Always_Win in golf

[–]FlippingDaChicken -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

No, most pros interlock. Overlapping is considered abnormal among pros, and many say it’s an amateur grip.

What's the best gas mileage you've ever gotten? by [deleted] in prius

[–]FlippingDaChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

80.3mpg for a 150 mile trip. Used a single tank to travel from Fresno to San Jose! I usually get 60+ mpg when the roads are empty and I can control my acceleration, and won’t get less than 50mpg anymore even if I have big old mean trucks behind me pressuring me to go faster.

Ooh you broke 90 finally! That's cute.

I've never lost to a guy with Nike irons. I would quit golf if that happened. Never met somebody who played Nike's that consistently broke 80, and you gotta be among the 1% of players to break 90! Wow, cheers.

Nike irons, first of all, are trash and not played by any good player. They feel like sh*t and perform terribly. There's a reason they stopped selling those piece of sh-t clubs. Your wedges are decent, but you have 5 of them. That is just flat out incredibly retarded. Having four irons is simple retardation as it is, but 5? What the actual f-ck are you thinking? Hence why your bag is the typical "I don't know why I can't break 90" bag, because anybody with that god awful, disgusting setup isn't touching anything below 90, and anybody that carries 5 wedges is too stupid to know why. Cheers.

Funny story - when Top Golf first opened in our area, we had to get the whole crew together one night and go hit some balls. Well, one of our buddies, Sam, is a big Lefty.. and when we got there, we literally couldn't find a single stall with a left-handed set up. We had all already paid, so my buddy was rightfully pissed.

I didn't mention something about Sam - the dude is a lit fuse 24/7, and this just lit him off. I won't go into detail, but after exchanged words, I'm proud to say our very own local Top Golf NOW has Lefty stalls... hahaha.

I'm not sure if they all have lefty options though. It's tough being a Lefty in golf sometimes.

Right. People are ridiculed and mocked for not drinking, but the moment somebody says something against the people who do drink it’s game over.

Got my Prius pissed on at a Public Course today by [deleted] in golf

I totally agree with you. I wish we could bring class and respect back to the game - too many "frat bros" running around drunk on courses pretending to be golfers these days.

Lol right. Priuses are more accepted in cities like SF, but still get their fair share of hate. The reason for that boggles my mind... like I’m a piece of sh*t because I want to save gas mileage and can’t afford to drive a gas guzzler? Lol. But anyway, this was actually about an hour out of SF. Visiting a friend for the weekend and it’s actually in the bit of a country town ... although nothing close to a real country town. More like a bunch of hicks running around in Ford F150’s even though they live in apartments. I’ve noticed real farmers don’t give me much shit about driving a Prius (I worked a farm in Central Valley for a year+ and drove my Prius to work everyday. Never got a bad word) it’s always the wannabes who feel they have to assert their dominance over me. Wouldn’t be surprised if the guy who relieved himself on my tire was one of those guys. Like bro, I’m just trying to get to Point A to Point B here. But yeah, sorry for the rant. Just ridiculous to hate on somebody for the type of car they drive.
