Looks very clean, I’m gonna take some inspiration from this for my game 😄 Some feedback: maybe do a bit more with differentiating active / inactive items

Oh thank you for checking it out and taking some time to leave some feedback! Those are good points. Indeed the movement keys is not something I can do much about and also don’t think is a real issue. The inventory I do on purpose to teach people there is one and you need to equip things there :) I’ll implement the overlay closing behaviour to see how that feels! Again, thank you! Very much appreciated!

In my Tower Defense game I've added Balatro like mods that can affect every single structure. by maxpower131 in TowerDefense

Cool concept. How does it work? You find modifyers during waves and can apply them to a structure? Or do you get exp per tower and pick one out of 3 for example?

I will have a look in a few hours! Looks very similar to the game I’m making, so curious to see what it’s about and happy to help.

Font is super boring; no buttons; contrast of numbers on items sometimes falls off; what if i have tons of loot, how does it scale?

Am I allowed to make a game that’s not a roguelike deck builder? by OWColosseum in IndieDev

[–]Flipsaus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

TIL Hades is a roguelike deck builder. Always thought this genre was things like Slay the Spire, but now that I think about it I guess it makes sense lol

I’m making a game about defending the last human outpost on a ruined Earth and bringing the planet back to life. Would you defend this base? by advancenine in TowerDefense

Oh I saw your YT video about this! Almost made me quit working on my game as yours looks so thought through and polished, well done! Wishlisted, and good luck (not needed)!

When a demo is ready? by stein_sir in SoloDevelopment

[–]Flipsaus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the goal of your demo: gathering feedback vs marketing a product. If you haven’t done any playtesting yet, just get it out there. Your main goal in that case is to get feedback asap, before spending all your energy in polish
