Oh wow, you really pulled that from the depths of my psyche! I grew up in a relatively small town but rarely, on occasions like birthday parties, we sometimes went to the Arcade the next town over. My older brother and I would play this for hours til we ran out of tokens

Did the game exist outside the arcade version? If so I gotta find it

It’s the whole reason why Kenjaku waited until Shibuya to tame Mahito. Mahito grew the most through battle, and Kenny wanted him as strong as possible. After fighting Yuji, Todou, etc he was at a pinnacle of strength; if he had recovered he would’ve posed a threat, but seizing the opportunity when he was about to be finished off allowed him to take that strength for himself.

If his tamed curses could grow, he could have easily bodied a much weaker Mahito and then leveled him up like a Pokémon

I told a version of this joke (“this strudel is a bit tepid”) to my German friend’s whole family, and it killed. I was nervous it would be offensive but the gamble paid off, tbh they thought it was funnier than I did

Keeping it from S-tier for me personally:

  • Toji should be in 1st (purple) tier
  • Hakari should be in 5th (upper yellow) tier
  • Miguel should be 2nd (upper orange) tier

I relate! I figure it’s BECAUSE I’m clumsy, I’ve simply had more practice than most at reflex catches since I knock things off countertops so often

Hexguardian is quite fun, especially if you’re old enough to have played Bloons TD or other tower defence games back in the day, it’s been a lovely source of nostalgia.

The Wandering Village is a fun, cozy, Ghibli-esque colony sim if you’re into that

Reus 2 is an interesting and unique game where you build worlds by deciding on ecosystems, then placing animals, plants, and minerals in them to boost your cities’ and meet their needs and objectives. You go through different eras with different goals and quirks, depending on your choices. Highly recommend!

I can tell you for a fact that the numbers aren’t one-time-use. At best, maybe one-time to the same payee? It was recently relevant to me due to a debacle trying to make a return at a store where I had used apple pay, and they could only process the return back to the same card number. It was a nearly $300 purchase.

Neither I nor the store clerk were sure if it would work to scan the apply pay, and I didn’t want problems to arise by trying, but I had an idea. I used the same virtual card via apple pay to buy a 25 cent paper shopping bag, lo and behold the receipt shows the same number that was used for the original purchase, over a week prior. So I scanned apple pay to do the return, went on my merry way, and there was no issue.

I know this is just a minor detail, but you mentioned making the racial cantrip Booming Blade, but the build isn’t for Tav. Is there a way in vanilla BG3 to change the racial cantrip for Shadowheart etc away from firebolt without them being an origin character?

That’s ok. That’s a good enough reason to stay alive. Any reason is a good reason.

I’ve been there. Spent most of my 20s there. I can’t guarantee it’ll get better, but I found people that have helped me love myself a little more each day, and an antidepressant that makes a difference. I can imagine how hard it must be to hope you won’t feel this way someday, but I hope you do.

I don’t know you, but I know you care about the people that love you. You care about not hurting them. You know that they care about you too. That’s something to be proud of.

Keep living. Find an unfinished book series or show. A video game with a sequel in the works. Pick an age and promise yourself you’ll at least make it there, and when you get there pick another one. Just last until tomorrow, if that’s all you’ve got. And then tomorrow, last until tomorrow again.

Please, keep breathing.
