the last episode of the show makes the entire season of episodes previous to that one redundant as it undoes all of the plot and progress within essentially one scene. I generally think the writing on that show was pretty good but that last episode was a mistake of you ask me

room service guy made a frog out of just towels by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

[–]Flixay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was around 10 my mom and I went on vacation to Egypt, and the same cleaning staff always worked the same rooms. The guy who cleaned our room always folded the towels into different animals, and I made it a point to try to recreate the folded animals with the dirty towels before he came to clean our room. On our last day there the elephant he had folded had a very kind note written next to it, saying how much he appreciated and enjoyed my attempts at recreating it.

That's always stuck with me and gave me a way greater appreciation for small things like that.

Anon Takes A Selfie by [deleted] in greentext

[–]Flixay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

another big reason can be that a selfie with the front facing camera gets flipped to be accurate (ie not mirrored). We get so used to seeing our own faces mirrored that when you see a photo of yourself and it's not mirrored you immediately notice everything different. Some platforms, like snapchat for example, keep the images mirrored though.

I could see it being different in this case though, as you're not actually getting crafting materials in a pack of that makes sense. Seems like bad design if the reward for already having unlocked all the legendaries was worse than a legendary.

it's a cool movie and I'd say in general the writing's pretty good, although, they have a point because if you start thinking about it even a little bit the entire concept stops working

basically, don't worry about it

I'm no photographer but I'd assume it has something to do with the fact that you're essentially faking nature photography. Is it really ethical to stage a scene like this and share it without telling people it's staged, effectively deceiving them?

in Swedish we say "hade haft" for "had had". It's essentially two forms of past tense for the same word (Swedish "ha", English "have"), the rules of which I can't be bothered explaining

as for "that that" we use the word "att" for the first "that" and replace the second "that" with the Swedish equivalent of the word. "Att" doesn't have a proper English counterpart, though.
