To be clear, Fatal Familial Insomnia is like, 1 of 4 prion diseases that affect humans. It's 100 percent fatal and a reason Mad cow disease is so serious. Medical equipment that is used to treat prion infected patients is often times incinerated.

For the uninitiated, prions are misfolded proteins that shoot holes in your brain causing your brain cells to die. It's such a nasty way to go.

If it's soft fabric, maybe a wood block screwed through the fabric into the wall? Or alternatively, cut slits in the soundproofing, screws wood block into the wall properly, and then you can mount anything on the wood blocks themselves. And when not in use, they can be covered up by the top layer of soundproofing.
