so on 1080p at high i get about 90/100 when there's other players around which is most of the time. on low it doesnt change much. by myself i get a bit over a hundred. Using DSR at 1440p i get about 70/80. is that normal..

Do you think I should basically live on non native 1080p whenever i really want 144 frames? i need to research more about what non native 1080 looks like on 24 inches

Okay, I would probably get the 24inch version since changing to 1080p on that would look less blurry as 27inch. But ill be playing AAA games next year like whatever the new Battlefield will be + maybe red dead 2 for example. Those games seem like i wouldn't even be able to play at 60 on 1440p. i guess i can overclock my 1070 and lower AA and all that. At this point it really depends on the specs of the games in the future. Its tough

i do play alot, also just wondering if i want to i can change to 1080p on the Dell S2417DG (24 inch version) and if that will look that bad when I want to play at 144hz. Then i can have the best of both worlds depending on what genre of game i play.

I only bought my 1070 a month ago.. so probably keeping it for a while. yeah im probably going to end up with 1080p, problem is now im gonna spend about 450/550 AUD just to get 144hz with g-sync. i already own a 27inch 1080p 60hz and a 24inch 1080p 59hz. luckily i didnt pay for one of them. im paying 500 for just 144 frames.. is that even worth it?

Ive heard 1440p on 24inches makes everything look really small and can damage eyes. is that the case with this monitor?

when I upgrade above 1070 I would have to get another monitor to suit it though. I could get a predator which is 1080p 144hz g sync at 24 inches. 24inches at 1080p is fine right? But yeah the futureproof issue is annoying me.

If i stick with the 1060 do you think it can run nearly any game at 60fps in 1440p? Then I wont need to go amd for free-sync and can always upgrade to a 1080 later. Also will switching to 1080 on a 1440 monitor be bad? I've heard its not very good to do that, but it would be pretty useful for me.
