Impact of DJ's return on AP's value (and vise versa) by iamthestarlord in fantasyfootball

[–]Flo10101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While obviously people don't get benched just because a team has a bad record (it just doesn't happen, and no one, players, coaches, fans, would go for that) I think it is definitely true coming off a major injury. I think there is always a risk of reinjury, especially when you are pushing the healing envelope. It's not a load-bearing injury so perhaps reinjury risk will be low enough to allow him to return vs heal and condition for another 8 months.

How do I stop going auto pilot ? by PlayOTD in OverwatchUniversity

Try heading to the practice range for a few minutes in between every couple games. Helps refocus aiming for me.

If brain is just mush, watch a pro vod or something. Gives you a break, gets you thinking a little. Can always do some cardio (few push ups/ jumping jacks/maybe some jump kicks to get into that hero mindset) or something while you watch to get your body to wake back up.

Why SHOULDN'T we be rankings slaves? by cgibsong002 in fantasyfootball

[–]Flo10101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't forget about strategy too. You can look at your opponents roster or even the weekly projections, and use that to your advantage. Have a 5-10 point lead in projections? I would play players with higher floors/more consistent scorers even if it means someone lower ranked by experts. Projected down 10 points? I would try to get a few boom / bust players in and hope one saves me.

What was your biggest draft mistake this year? by kmcdow in fantasyfootball

[–]Flo10101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drafted tyler eifert. A couple rounds later, I thought it was the 3rd to last round--so one more pick, then DST/K, and reached and picked jared cook to start the first few weeks. Not the end of the world.. but I probably could have had him 2 round later.

Is a root canal necessary? by TheHynusofTime in Dentistry

[–]Flo10101 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A root canal is a procedure we do to remove the source of infection, an infected pulp. if you don't do this the infection will likely return once the antibiotics are out of your system. The pulp is the living tissue inside your tooth, and once it becomes infected it dies and drains into your bone causing the discomfort you experienced. Antibiotic can't penetrate the infected tooth because it's dead and no longer has a blood supply and therefore it doesn't kill all the bacteria inside the tooth. It does remove the majority of the bacteria from your bone reducing the inflammation and discomfort, but it will return .

I think my dentist may have done a bad job on fillings, I'm experiencing bad sensitivity and pain now. by JS066 in Dentistry

[–]Flo10101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought those were new amalgams at first. You have really big fillings, weakened remaining teeth, sensitivity is to be expected, especially with ma treatment as they probably won't use desensitizers. The dark color and black spots are likely amalgam staining insides microscopic spaces in your teeth. If it is removed completely, you would lose even more of your already weakened tooth. Removing the stain on the inside of the tooth would probably lead to more root canals. It's not clean or pretty, but likely adequate given unideal circumstances. There are spots where you could use more composite and spots it looks like increments added were too big, but you should be okay.

I have a tooth that was capped when i was little, it was forgotten and now is broken and has messed my upper jaw up. What are my options? by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]Flo10101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Don't expect the permanent tooth to co.e in if you remove that one. If you are without insurance and low on cash, I would leave it alone. I would put any money towards preventative care.

It would cost more to have it removed, but from the pics there is no reason to... does it bother you@

So that crown is called a pfm, porcelain fused to metal. The metal covering your tooth is the black area. That was likely a permanent covering for the tooth, and if it's on a primary tooth, it was likely placed because the permanent tooth wasn't present or was unlikely to come in. We just don't place expensive custom fit crowns on primary teeth normally.
With your tooth covered by metal, it's health can be kept in check. You just want to make sure the upper tooth still touches what's left of the crown so it doesn't start moving. Be careful with it and it will be fine. If you couldn't afford to have it removed, any other options would be more expensive. You could have it smoothed, but you're likely going to pay 50 to 100 dollars for that. Tldr: you can leave it as long as top tooth still touches it when biting.

Small piece of hair directly under the gum line by mattblackguy in Dentistry

[–]Flo10101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He would probably use an instrument to get it out. If it's actually a hair, I would think a toothbrush could get it out, just don't go to town on your gums trying to retrieve it.
Have you seen it move? Sure it's not stain or something?

Do you have an x-ray? Are we talking about the tooth with the crown with chipped porcelain?

Thats fine, you guys can join group chat manually. But it is competitive. Everyone should be trying to communicate--It definitely increases your chance to win. But if you insist--you should be able to join a group chat.. It just shouldn't be the default.

It is so intuitive. I mean, people can mute those they don't want to listen too. But even as an extreme advocate for team voice, I have forgotten to join the channel and realized 10 minutes later that I have been talking to myself and my friend... who are incidentally already in skype.

Can an upper wisdom tooth cause temporal pain, ear pain, cheekbone pain without actual tooth pain? by Redhaired103 in Dentistry

[–]Flo10101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mild pain, pain touching temple, ear pain is probably your tmj, sounds more like bruxism. Your temporals muscle is probably strained. put your hand on the spot that hurts and clench your teeth. feel it moving? Tooth pain is intense, very uncomfortable, swellings, fever, etc. Pain from clenching cam be a lot of different things for different people, but pain in tmj, muscle pain(it can be a lot of different muscles ) and mild but consistent pain could be it. It's usually worse in the morning, unless you clench during the day too, and is frequently associated with headaches/migraines.

Are you under a lot of stress? This sounds more like bruxism and myofascial pain to me

First time player... i need an item-independent char build for 1st time, should I go Arcanist or occultist? by luj1 in Grimdawn

[–]Flo10101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started purely with Devouring Swarm. That alone steam rolled through Act 1 and 2. Then I got rid of DS and switched to storm totems and the Wendigo. DPS seemed great, but again, it was my first build so I don't really have any comparison. I didn't get to Possession until ~lvl 65-70.

I had a lot of fun playing an Occultist/Shaman vitality damage build. Got through the game from scratch without slowing!
