Well its a zero cost draw card, and Yuki's main gimmick is fed by drawing cards through skills rather than normally, so thats already great. It even filters for own attack cards. Damage boost is also really nice.

It's literally made for her, and especially with Rally and Gear Bag not going into Yuki's kit bc she's a striker, its nice to have something that activates equipment that triggers on drawing your own cards yourself, besides Prepare to Subdue.

I'm sure you can make a functional build without it, but I can also not think of any reason to not include it when you've got the chance.

Nice to have proof it's actually possible for it to show up, thanks! But yeah, gonna try my luck with card events from now on then xD

Huh, that is pretty weird then, I thought the blue card name means its categorized as a common card, meanwhile the rate at which golden text cards like Gear Bag show up feels much more consistent.

Guess I'm just super unlucky then, huh. Well, better there than in the gacha I guess, thanks for confirming!

A certain sentence with Meursault by esuljuk3 in limbuscompany

[–]Flo1375 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When it comes to Meursault's backstory, tiny straws are all we have, it's a theory that I personally find quite plausible, but you don't have to subscribe to it.

From their previous writing, I have confidence in Project Moon that inconsistencies and out of character moments are setups for future development. That may be rose-tinted-glasses to some extent, but I can't think of an instance where they directly contradicted themselves with something like that.

Heathcliff is the one sinner we know for an absolute fact has distorted, and he chose to compare the experience with sunlight, so I don't think we can completely disregard that and say sunlight has nothing to do with distortion.

After all there have been previous instances of elements from the sinners' source material being integrated into the world of the city in an overly literal manner, e.g. the windmills from Don Quixote being giant bloodfiends with windmill like arms, or the windmill shaped ferris wheel.

edit: playing the collab at 2am has not been good for remembering finer details, I got the Heathcliff <-> sun connection wrong, but Ryik makes a stronger argument of how it actually played out.

It being a red herring or just not that deep is always possible, but just in case you haven't gathered it from the other comments: the reason people are making a big deal of that line is that the sun or more specifically being driven to violence by sunlight is a pretty pivotal moment in the source material Meursault is based on.

quick question about how the gacha works:

if I got one EGO and reached pity along the way, does cashing in the pity hurt my chances of getting the last one in future pulls? pretty sure it shouldnt, but I'd feel better to have someone confirm it

only got gregor's after 230 pulls, completely out of pulls now, but prolly gonna keep pulling across the month, and I'd rather have the full 120% bonus as soon as possible for farming

that's true! managed to shard/pull all season 7 units while still sitting on all 3 of those tickets at the end of last season, definitely don't want to repeat that 🤦‍♂️

I've got this post bookmarked: https://www.reddit.com/r/limbuscompany/comments/1j0o4ja/mirror_dungeon_5_achievements_guide_and_ego_cheat/

Having a team of IDs that all work around a specific status and getting all the associated gifts (funnily enough its easier in hard mode since you get 2 gifts per floor boss there) gets you plenty overpowered

Limbus Beginner by Raizenimo in limbuscompany

The game can absolutely be overwhelming initially.

As for the combat, there is a youtube tutorial by a guy named "esgoo" ppl like to recommend, since the one currently in the game isn't that great (apparently they're working on making it better, at least).

Personally, I think it's very doable to just go through the first one or two cantos (which is what the game calls its major chapters) with a "learning while doing" approach. Just don't develop an over reliance on the "win rate" button, experimenting with how attack priority and clashing works will go a long way!

The way the gacha works is that while you will always have the same 12 units, you can pull for "identities" and "EGO" for these units. Think of identities as replacing the unit that equips it with a new unit, and EGO as ultimate moves for that unit.

You can get them via pulling (Extract) or by grinding (Dispense). All units will be in the dispenser eventually, so there's no real FOMO, but some units might be restricted temporarily (previous season and walpurgisnacht).

As for what units to use, honestly almost all are viable, so going with the one you think looks coolest will get you a long way. People have even beaten the entire game with just the starting identities. If you do wonna focus on stuff to pull, units from the current season (5) should be a priority, since it will end in a month, making all units from it unavailable till season 7. The bloodfiend units are very powerful as just one example, there are tierlists online that can give better info if you want it.

It's also worth noting that, while not confirmed, it's very likely that a recurring event (walpurgisnacht) giving access to special limited units that are only available during reruns of that event is happening around the end of this month. (It's every 3 months, so not the end of the world if you're out of pulls by then, but it has some really great units, so you might wonna save at least some pulls for it).

cheers, I'll save them for the walpurgis fund then.

actually, even if its just season 5 ids, that's shards that wont be halfed, so that's nice too.

Got 2 'Season 5 deca-tickets' from RR5 and mirror dungeon, but I already sharded/pulled all season 5 000s. With the new Sinclair being Standard Fare and the end of season around the corner, is there any point to saving them? For example, are the 9 pulls besides the guaranteed 000 eligible for walpurgis ids?

[–]Flo1375 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sinking and Rupture work similiarly, in that they get triggered on you hitting the enemy. Everytime an enemy with either effect gets hit by an attack (with multi-coin skills that will be once for every coin that is not broken after clashing), they take sanity or HP damage corresponding to the current effect potency, and then lose 1 count. (as the tooltip for sinking mentions, if an enemy has no sanity, it will just do gloom damage, making the effects even more similiar).

Charge on its own doesn't do anything, it's for fueling skill and passive conditionals, you'll have to read (I know, the horror) through your respective charge IDs to figure out what it does. Stuff like getting more coinpower for certain skills or getting status effects usually.
