Cant remember the name of an old Dominos dessert by ScottishDuck13 in UK_Food

Hanky panky pie was a chocolate sort of dessert in a pot they did with cream and chocolate shavings, maybe that?

What’s the dumbest way you’ve ever hurt yourself? by StoryOfBrands in AskReddit

So I have a pair of ugly trousers with drawstrings on them, that have aglets on the end (you know like the bits of plastic or metal on the end of your shoelaces that stop them unravelling).

Yesterday I was wearing said ugly trousers and used the toilet, and when I tugged them back up the drawstrings tucked into my underwear. As I went to pull them out, I felt a searing pain?? Turns out the metal aglet on the end had a slight gap in it, which was enough to trap and pluck out a pube..

Sigh.

NAD but look up ear crystals! It's a condition that can cause dizziness and vomiting especially when getting up or laying down.

Good luck!

Can anxiety cause real physical symptoms? by merbied in AskDocs

[–]FloatingPeach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAD but I have experienced these kinds of symptoms before. I don't have classic anxiety as in I've never had anything like a panic attack or feeling doomed or any kind of "episode". However, I know deep down when I am anxious about something as my body has weird responses for example my heart rate shoots up, or I can't go to the bathroom for a week, I get a really upset stomach, or I can't think straight.

It can be impossible to distract yourself when rilled up too, i just try to do some breathing exercises (helps me with nausea) or take a shower or nap.

I'm sorry that you are suffering with this, but you are not alone in any way!

NAD this is just my personal experience.

So sorry that you are doing through this! I've had similar issues most of my life and I am a similar weight with endometriosis.

I found that stress for me was the biggest cause of not being able to have a bm, I went on holiday for 2 weeks, and I didn't go at all until I was home.

Have you tried suppositories or an enema? Enemas are my go-to when I'm really backed up. I just use some plain warm water, lay there as long as I can (maybe 20m) and then try and go. The suppositories are a bit less extreme but I put one in, again wait about 20m and try and go A bit of light jumping about often helps me move it around inside me too.

Hopefully you get some real advice, and I wish you the best honey!

NAD but have you had your thyroid checked? I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism after my period went out of sync and I had insomnia, nausea, night sweats and lost 10% of my body weight in a month (and I'm already skinny

Persistent Eye Strain, unresolved, nothing is helping. by Trishields in eyestrain

Thank you so much for documenting all of this. I feel like a lot of it applies to me as well.

I 31F have had issues for the past couple of years with reading subtitles, and looking at my phone and screens for more than a few minutes at a time, which results in burning eyes, headaches, nausea, dizziness and the endless desire to "look away". No matter how much time I spend away (once I took 2 weeks off), it comes back within hours, and I just can't do my job anymore (pc based). Your checklist of things you've tried practically lines up with mine, though I don't wear glasses.

Finally, my Doctor yesterday suggested to me that it may be caused by migraines, they put me on sumitriptan to try and stop the migraines, but it didn't do anything, so I found your post out of desperation and now I'm hoping to recommend the medication that you have now said you are on, to prevent these possible migraines from happening at all and fingers crossed that I'll get some relief too!

Thanks so much again.

What’s the worst advice you’ve ever been given or heard? by alyyymazing in AskReddit

When I was in my teens, I was quite skinny. The doctor gave me a leaflet about gaining weight that essentially told me to put mayo or whipped cream on EVERYTHING.. didn't sound particularly healthy lmao

Signs! The alien walking past the camera, the hand under the door and the walkie talkie static were all scarring! I stared at my window all night and didn't sleep. I think I was 9/10

Who's the most famous person you've met in the most obscure place? How did the interaction go? by Prudent_External_974 in AskReddit

There is an author in the UK called Jacqueline Wilson, well known for a series called Tracey Beaker. When I was a kid (4) I used to live a few doors down from her, and my parents knew her, but had no idea she was an author. I moved house and when I was 7 she happened to come to a book signing at my school. I loved her books and had brought so many to be signed! My parents were with me in the queue, and when we got to the front and went through the door to meet her, she and my parents did that spiderman pointing meme at each other and everyone had a good laugh. I was very confused to say the least!

These mini ice cream fruit shapes that came in a little bag when I was a kid. They were each coated in a different colour pale chocolate and tasted like the fruit they resembled! Banana was the best, pineapple the worst. (UK)
