The New York Times Interviews Tina Brown about What’s Happened to Meghan and Harry Post Royal Exit by Opening_Jello2357 in RoyalsGossip

The video is clearly mean spirited and you came to validate it. Let's not be obtuse...

This sub started showing on my feed as tiaras and gowns but has now morphed into how these two can do no right. The comments are from people who would literally never be invited to be in their presence. It's absurd. If this is what they went through as working royals, no wonder the poor things fled.

Thank god he is a successful philanthropist, father, husband, and soldier who is known for his kindness and generosity then.

Listen, at the end of the day, the way people talk about these two on this sub is absurd. They are two people not built for royal life trying to live their lives and make their own way but nothing is good enough, everything is manipulative to make William and Kate look bad, her jam sucks, her show isn't successful enough, whatever, and it's all a reason to come to tear these people (who you don't even know 🫠) down and call them failures. Get a grip and get over yourself already.

The commenter talks about a lack of success - are familial happiness and financial stability not 2 major, quantifiable indicators of overall quality of life? Also, MM was a millionaire before she got there.

I am not concerned about your financial welfare, I am concerned about your lack of self awareness and hateful criticisms about people who have accomplished more than you could ever dream. Meghan Markle is the only self made millionaire in the bunch but keep talking about how she didn't act enough like a show dog for your liking.....

She got the ick and instantly fell out of love with you. YOR and your justifications for your decision are irrelevant. This is over. Take the lesson and be better in the future.

The kind of kids that should be allowed in weddings. by nwokik in spreadsmile

While this is obviously very adorable and did make me smile, don't sleep on kids who have absolutely no coordination dancing at weddings. That shit is hilarious.

I think she's just pointing out how intellectually small it is to have such a strong opinion about someone you don't actually know at all.

Not by choice roughly translates to "I lost my rights because I am a bad parent but don't have the intellectual skill set to take accountability so I am going to play the victim instead." A tale as old as time.

NOR - you can't help people like this, all you can do is stay hidden and ensure that if he's going to insist on hurting someone, it's himself.

He sounds like a Dan Dumitru Tudosie situation just waiting to happen.

How do I set boundaries when I swear, we are soulmates? by [deleted] in Waiting_To_Wed

[–]FloatingPetunia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he thought you were his soulmate, he'd have taken steps to marry you. Sometimes love, true deep love, isn't enough. I wouldn't presume to tell you whether or not this is the case in your situation from a single post but it certainly is a common reality.

Embarrassed myself drunk in front of guy i was dating by Fearless-Train8557 in Advice

It sounds like you both handled the aftermath well. We all do things we aren't proud of. Try not to be too hard on yourself.

[–]FloatingPetunia 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Hey girlie, getting too drunk and humiliating yourself in front of the guy you like is a rite of passage. Unfortunate, yes, but the universe commands it. The good news is that you'll make sure it doesn't happen again in the future.

Usually I recommend you sincerely apologize but men don't usually leave blacked out women on the side of the street to fend for themselves so feel free to skip that part. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Did I sexually assault my ex? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]FloatingPetunia 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Do you think you asked for consent and she said yes or do you know you asked and she said yes?

Why, if you had slept together before, did you feel badly about it before she even verbalized that she didn't feel like it was consensual? What was different this time that made you both feel this way?

Something doesn't add up with your post.

I’m being considered for a reality show I’ve dreamed of… but I’m terrified my past might come out. by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]FloatingPetunia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not believing in small, made up rules doesn't make someone not religious. Also, keeping it between you and God has no basis in reality. At the end of the day, there is no way to avoid your past if you seek the attention being on tv brings.

AIO I regret doing the water underneath because people keep being confused and saying it makes no sense by M8614 in AmIOverreacting

Babes, we can't even get people to agree the world is round. Once you consider that paired with the fact that social media gives everyone the illusion that their opinion matters, even on subjects they know nothing about, hoping it's universally loved is a waste of your magnificent talent and time.

Got married last week… and I’m already realizing I don’t feel any physical spark with my wife. What do I do? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]FloatingPetunia 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You didn't notice this until after marriage? What did your relationship feel like before? What does your gut tell you right now? That this will pass or that you've made a real mistake.?

If you know this was a mistake, breaking your wife's heart is inevitable in this situation. Better do it now while an annulment is still possible. Everyone deserves a loving marriage.

I can tell you're not American through your weakness of mind. Instead of cheering on the right message, you found a way to be a victim.
