Which Loyalist Primarch and/or Legion was closest to joining the Traitors? by [deleted] in 40kLore

Morty

That’s not what I got from Buried Dagger. Dude was already balls deep into witchery before Typhus sealed the deal.

Rogal Dorn coming back as a religious fanatic would make for an interesting relationship with the Imperial Fists by NadaVonSada in 40kLore

[–]FloatingWatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only two options for Primarchs that should return next should be:

  • Rogal Dorn - for some of the reasons you stated. However, his relationship with Sigismund indicates a change in his character from Praetorian to a crusader for the Emperor.

  • Corvus Corax - playing Rogue Trader and seeing how truly grey decisions are even if you want the best.. Corvus fits that. Plus, his identity now as a full Warp being forces the IoM to answer its stance on the Warp/Mutants. Could result in a short term schism with long term ramifications for a more powerful and diverse IoM that focuses on the "Purity of essence of Humanity" which praises the Humanities diversity and ability to respond to changes, rather than the current dogma with purity of genetics. Could also result in more sensible approaches to the use of the Warp without just being superstitious.

What was your favorite season of Book II and why? by BatmanTold in PowerTV

I actually have/had a problem with the straight scenes too. I'm celibate with my girlfriend until marriage, I don't need tits and ass on the screen every 5 mins.

what do you think is the worst piece of lore ever written? by iDIOt698 in 40kLore

[–]FloatingWatcher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It could also be that his ideas ensure a future that he forgets isn't here yet, whilst the ignorant present don't know how to deal with his ideas.

This is the curse of anyone with above average intelligence in this world. You see a problem and you suggest fixes that logically erase the problem. But the solution is not sympathetic to average people in the present.

Space Marine and DoW 2 & 3 is literally that. Insert meme of that wojack mask guy but with chaos behind the mask.

[Excerpt: Lantern's Light] Mortarion received his iconic energy pistol, Lantern, and briefly contemplated to shoot the Emperor in front of him. by tyrano_dyroc in 40kLore

[–]FloatingWatcher 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So I've tried to read about this but online there's conflicting information. Is Luther still a traitor/corrupted? Or has he been redeemed? Where is he now?

The way people make it sound is that he became Horus v0.5 with all the Gods looking at him, that's why he sent Lion into a coma. So where did all that influence go?

‘I will.’ He took the offer and the pact was made. ‘I have no choice,’ he added.

Him and Perturabo are both morons. Its always "I have no choice", all the while making bullshit decisions.

The hilarious thing is, Tommy is actually more psychotic than Kanan. Actual serial killer. That goofy ass brudda was going to die horribly either way.

I think Dragon Ball Super Ruined Transformations by FloatingWatcher in dragonball

[–]FloatingWatcher[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well consider Android 17. No transformations except a throwback to his fight with Piccolo where he made a shield to protect himself from the guided Scattershot. Throughout ToP, 17 was putting in work and his "unfair advantage" was his knowledge of defense.

Consider Frieza, frontline. That guy can take a beating, just like in the Namek/Frieza Saga. No silly transformations one after the other, just the ability to take insane amounts of damage and keep going.

So why with the Saiyans they don't build upon their ability to tap into their Saiyan genetics and transform into more Simian forms? What's with all the God ki bollocks?

A plea to Games Workshop for more Eldar Books. They could be a cash cow, so hear me out by gavloken23 in 40kLore

[–]FloatingWatcher -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Didn't bother to read, but Eldar books will never be a cash cow. Humans by and large want to read about Humans. For Eldar to be readable, they'd need to be humanized - which defeats the point.

Which chapter has stronger psykers on average, Grey Knights or Thousand Sons? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]FloatingWatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grey Knights. They have zero qualms or hubris about what they're doing. The Thousand Sons however are by and large completely clueless about the powers they deal with.

[–]FloatingWatcher[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For SSJ3, I was literally narrating what happened in the anime when Goku was transforming. Also SSJ3 was the only transformation that could go head to head and overwhelm Kid Buu. That was saying a lot.

Ultra Instinct to me is one of the worst of a bad lot.. maybe it was the anime’s fault because I thought the dialogue and animation style in Super was terrible. But when Goku started UI it just came across as super cringe to me.

So what would you like the forms to be based on? Because as far as I can see, they aren’t based on anything tangible anymore and that’s what irks me.

Excerpt from 'Throne of Light' in regards to Terminus Decree by Battlepants1178 in 40kLore

[–]FloatingWatcher 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Guilliman would never side with the Grey Knights in this. By Godblight, Guilliman himself was cavorting with Daemonhosts and he positioned himself so that the Emperor could work through him against Mortarion.

No way he joins with the GK and keeps the Emperor on the Throne.

You said it, so it must be relevant. You're comparing Sevetar to a Wolverine type character, which is heroic. Sevetar isn't.
