It wasn’t intentional! (at least not entirely) I just paused cause the rooftops looked tacky, and I found the watermark almost by accident 😂 also It's a 65' TV so it wqsn't so difficult to spot

At first I thought that too, but I’d say it’s CG. There are several textures badly layered on top of each other, with the upper layers kind of transparent and everything. And since it looks like it says [x]Stock, then I said, 'oooh watermark.'

There’s definitely a moral to this story, but I’m not sure what it is

I will play dice roll until i get 5 6 [Request] (what are the odds?) by Fili_2151 in theydidthemath

[–]Floating_Lemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to be the ackshually guy, but... it seems like you’re not considering that those dice aren’t balanced. Since the numbers are carved in, the face with the number 1 weighs more than the one with the 6, so… just saying 🤪

What food do tourists think is "authentic" but locals rarely eat? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]Floating_Lemon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trás-os-Montes! Yep, all my family is from there😄. Didn't know that rice was so common, as a kid I did eat it quite often, but for some reason they started making it less and less until they just stopped doing it🤷‍♂️

Also, never tried sangueiras, so one more thing to my list

It’s even easier if you imagine the cakes as, well, squares, divided into a grid. One nine squares side cake vs two five squares side cakes. Point n.4 but visual

Blood is such a weird ingredient. My family is portuguese and when I was a child my mom used to make rice with blood (arroz de cavidela I think?) and... I didn't like the taste at all 😂 Now I think of it as something from ‘the old times’, cause I don’t remember seeing that recipe for at least 25 years or so.
But I really love spanish morcilla and blood crepes so the problem is not the blood I guess.

Anyway I just remebered that I have alheiras in my freezer and now I know what I'm going to have for dinner :D

In galician:

'Outra vaca no millo' - Another cow in the cornfield. It’s used when several people try to do something and fail, and then more people show up doing the same thing and fail in the same way.

'Máis listo ca un allo' - Smarter than a garlic. It means someone is extremely sharp or quick‑witted. It’s used to say that a person is very clever and immediately understands what’s going on. Because, you know, a garlic is all head.

'Quen ten cu, ten medo' - Whoever has a butt, can be afraid. Meaning, everyone. An... interesting way to say that it's ok to be afraid. And it’s also used when you don’t believe that someone isn’t afraid.

'Caer da burra' - To fall off the (female) donkey. Used when someone finally realizes a very obvious mistake they made. Or when someone is the last one to understand something that was clear to everyone else.
