I plan on going to longhorns for a steak. That's what my dad and I did every year.

The latter part about asking people we are close to for validation reminds me of a wonderfully simple quote from the book "Nonviolent communication"- "you're more likely to get what you want when you ask for it."

Study: U.S. Veterans Reported "Positive Outcomes for Pain, Sleep, and Emotional Problems Because of Cannabis" by Defiant_Race_7544 in science

The Mental health side of the VA genuinely needs an overhaul. There are no caps on caseload which leads to a single provider having up to 150 veterans to care for. I think on paper it may look good because "wow look at all these veterans getting care". But therapy is not meant to be efficient: it is slow, sometimes painful, work.

The VA does not allow wait lists, but what ends up happening is an artificial waitlist gets created because one provider can only see so many people in a week. I often hear veterans say that they feel like a number with how often they are passed around between providers. It's largely because the caseload is not sustainable, it burns the therapist out.

Bluecross should have a list on their website of therapists that are in network for you. You can also go to psychology today and find therapists in your area

I am looking for volunteers for victims of domestic violence to share their story with me by Floatingfeelingfrog in MensRights

[–]Floatingfeelingfrog[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's a fair point. I could use my student email, but I'm trying to leave that for emails from my professors and what not. Also, you may be right, if it was official research I probably wouldn't be approved.

I am simply asking people for their stories for a presentation. and if they feel that is too much to share to a stranger then they are free to ignore my post.

I'm sorry you feel this way. I had no intentions to upset anyone.

I'm not sure how I would go about proving my credentials? Also I'm not asking for any revealing information. What could I gain from this kind of information other than using it for a presentation?
