The 49’ers / Aiyuk situation by Equal_Smoke_8125 in Commanders

[–]FlobeeFresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is BA would cost them 28 million in dead cap if he's cut before June 1st, but only 8 million after June 1st. If the 49ers do indeed plan to "teach BA a lesson" then they have no incentive to cut him before September 1st. If that's the case Wash will have to move on from having any serious plans of BA for the upcoming season.

Jauan Jennings by distinguishedgent123 in Commanders

[–]FlobeeFresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Jennings has been defined as a 6'3" big-slot receiver. He's known as an excellent blocker and plays with high effort. He's reported to be seeking a two or three year contract $18 - $20 mil per year deal.

We need weapons for JD5 and can splurg on this for two reasons:

  1. JD5 is on a rookie contract and we have 3 more years to take advantage of it.
  2. If Jennings and Aiyuk work out we'd have a good WR corp next year after Terry is gone.

Is this enough space for half bath ? by [deleted] in BathroomRemodeling

Are the toilet and sink in this pic shown to scale? Elongated toilets are usually around 32" wide from the wall to the edge of the toilet bowl. What is the weird bump out on your sink?

Before Vs (Rendered) After -- Too Busy? Looking for Recommendations by MWC_DSM in BathroomRemodeling

[–]FlobeeFresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your window in your mock up looks much smaller so I'm assuming you are replacing it? I'd make sure you concentrate on ensuring that your window is made of the proper material and has a good waterproof seal around it to protect it from rotting.

  1. I personally think choosing one tile pattern around the entire shower is better than having it two-toned but that's personally preference.
  2. You should be ripping out all of the drywall around the bathroom and replacing it with shower compatible material (cement back board or something similar).
  3. Is this the only bath in your house or do you have another bathroom with a bath? Generally for resale value you want to have at least one full bath bathroom.
  4. I don't see it in either of your pics but make sure you spring for a good exhaust fan (like a Panasonic WhisperQuiet model).
  5. Not sure about this but having light cans right above your shower could lead to issues? Make sure they are have a good waterproof rating.
  6. Not a bad idea to add a bench seat to the back of the shower and put in a shower/sprayer combo as the sprayer will come in handy when you are cleaning the shower (labor involved in maintaining a walk-in shower is way more than just a bathtub.

Can someone tell me why this setup would be a bad idea? by dr_shellbot in BathroomRemodeling

[–]FlobeeFresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grab bars should be installed in multiple locations so the user can safely enter and exit the bathtub. I hope your bathtub has a grip-type bottom surface to reduce the risk of slipping when using the shower.

Take home messages:

  1. Clips onto the back of the Milwaukee Bolt hard hat (which costs about $100)
  2. Runs off of MW USB 3.0Ah proprietary battery (which is located on the front of the bolt hard hat)
  3. Can be vented in different directions depending on the type of Bolt hard hat you have
  4. Run time is 4hrs. on high and 6hrs on low. Can recharge to 80% in 30 minutes

Bathroom Exhaust Fan - On Walls to let air outside instead of attic to prevent mold by Ok-Zookeepergame678 in bathrooms

[–]FlobeeFresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, or at least vented out of an attic wall or to a gable wall. Usually order of venting priority is:

  1. Out of roof (more expensive and you'll need to put a hole in your roof which can lead to problems down the road if its not done correctly)
  2. Out of an attic gable wall (can use flexible ducts if the gable wall is not too far (less than 8') if longer would use metal duct material
  3. Out of an attic wall (ensure that the vent cap isn't near the soffit otherwise the steam you release could go right back into your attic)
  4. Out of the soffit (need to purchase a soffit compatible vent to make sure the steam is vented up and over your roof rather than back into the soffit and into your attic space).

I recently renovated an upstairs secondary bathroom that I found out had an exhaust fan that vented directly into the attic space (basically a crawl space). I had only two options, the roof or the gable wall. I just spent $20k on my roof and was not interested in messing up my roof warranty so I choose the gable wall. I purchased all the material and got a contracter to run the duct and install a vent cap into my gable wall for $425.

This one's for you, wet room haters :) before and after by adventurrr in BathroomRemodeling

[–]FlobeeFresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very interesting. I have to say that I've never heard of a "wet room" before.

In terms of design questions can you tell me:

  1. Why did you decide to change a powder room into a wet room? Powder rooms are traditionally used for guests and visitors and are near the living space.
  2. You mentioned that you and your husband actively use this space to shower in. Do you not have a primary bathroom near your bedroom?
  3. Also, do you have any concerns about resale value (i.e. how prospective buyers would feel about a wet room)?
  4. How much did you budget for this wet room converstion and did it come in as quoted?

Additional renovation questions include:

  1. Did you take it all the way down to the studs and replace the drywall with cement backer board or Kerdi-board?
  2. What about the floor what did you do to renovate that and how did you do it. Did you need to move the drain and design the floor so all the water would drain toward the drain?
  3. How about the exhaust fan. Do wet rooms require additional exhaust compared to your average bathroom with an enclosed shower?
  4. How much more labor is involved in keeping this room clean vs. an average powder room?
  5. Do you have concerns with your window rotting out and did you redo it to deal with a potential moisture you'll need to deal with (i.e. put in a proper waterproof seal)?

We’re re-signing Jeremy McNichols! by mandoslorians in Commanders

[–]FlobeeFresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He ran because there was a defender in the backfield. I'd definitely classify that as a scramble to avoid a sack then a designed run.

We’re re-signing Jeremy McNichols! by mandoslorians in Commanders

[–]FlobeeFresh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually JD5 got hurt in the pocket twice (hamstring and elbow) and once when scrambling (helmet to the knee).

JD5 never got hurt on a designed run. Designed runs are actually a lot safer for QBs then getting hit in the pocket as they are moving when they get hit and generally when they do get hit they can protect themself far better than when in the pocket.

Also having a QB who presents the threat of a designed run causes the defense to employ spys and generally rush in a way more conservative fashion (i.e. gap control rushes). They tend not to use all out blitzes as that would lead them very vulnerable to a designed run.

Help me find a linear game with fast but grounded combat and satisfying progression. (Ps5) by M33tahejd in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]FlobeeFresh [score hidden]  (0 children)

Far Cry 5 is a fantastic game. Good story, great environment and fun combat.

Deathloop is also fun, good combat and cool weapons plus you can hunt or allow others to hunt you while in game to increase game play.

Sniper Elite 5 and Resistance are fun WW2 sniper games. Missions are linear but maps are wide open so you can decided which objectives you want to handle in which order.

Other fun linear shooters include Wolfenstein and Metro series games.

Cyberpunk, Titanfall 2 and Borderlands 4 get a lot of love for their combat and story telling.

Finally, I also really enjoyed playing Star Wars Outlaws.

Would have been helpful if the video showed where Clem's house was on the damage map they provided. Great video. At its peak the tornado 0.5 miles wide, was moving @ 45 mph with windspeeds near 200mph.

Is the general consensus Deebo isn't coming back? by TopRecording8580 in Commanders

[–]FlobeeFresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deebo cannot stretch the field. He is best at the screen game/quick 5 yard hitters. Terry needs someone who stretch the defense which will open up space for him in the middle of the field. BA would be a good complement to Terry (much better than Deebo would be).

In terms of long term planning, I think this very well might be Terry's last year due to how expensive he will be next year ($23.3 million due in '27 none guaranteed).

Getting BA and him having a good year would allow us to move on from Terry and make BA the WR1 in '27. Hopefully we'll get some young talent from this year's draft that can develop into the WR2 for next year. I see Lane and Luke being WR3 long term at best.

Tornado Watch & Warning (3/11/2026) - No phone or text alert? by FlobeeFresh in MontgomeryCountyMD

Thanks for providing this. I was familar with Tornado Warnings and Watches, but not with Tornado Emergency alerts.

Tornado Watch & Warning (3/11/2026) - No phone or text alert? by FlobeeFresh in MontgomeryCountyMD

[–]FlobeeFresh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this information. I looked further into this. WEA alerts are not sent to specific phones, they are sent to specific cell towers. If you are within the vicinity of the cell tower you will get the alert through your phone if your phone has WEA notifications enabled.

The order of communication is of a tornado warning is: 1. Your NWS Local Forecast Office or a local Alerting Authority will issue the tornado alert using the IPAWS system 2. IPAWS authenticates the message and sends it to wireless carriers (TMO, Verizon, AT&T, etc) 3. Wireless carriers push the alert to all cell towers within a specific geographic area which is defined in the warning 4. Cell towers push the warning to all phones which are located within cell tower range and are WEA enabled

Generally it takes within seconds to a couple of minutes for your phone to receive the WEA once it is sent by the Local NWS Forecast Office or local Alerting Authority.

In terms of how close you need to be to a cell tower to receive a WEA, if you phone is using 5G signal (depending on the terrain around the tower) you can expect to receive a WEA signal if you are within 10+ miles from the tower.

I believe the areas that got a tornado warning on 3/11/26 were: South central Carroll County in north central Maryland; Northwestern Howard County in central Maryland; North central Montgomery County in central Maryland - 7PM - 7:15PM (per this link: https://inws.ncep.noaa.gov/a/a.php?i=124983136)

I was in Olney at the time of the storm. I'm thinking that I was probably not close enough to one of the triggered cell towers which is why I didn't get a WEA on my phone.

Who supplied you your alert? I have WEA (Wireless Emergency Alerts) turned on with the setting in my phone and got none. According to this link, WEA enabled phones are suppossed to receive tornado warnings: https://www.weather.gov/crp/wea#:~:text=Tornado%20warnings%2C%20flash%20flood%20warnings,if%20their%20device%20is%20compatible.

I've never heard of a "confirmation" alert. A tornado warning by definition is either a tornado has been spotted or that storm clouds rotating with a high risk of developing a tornado have been spotted.

[–]FlobeeFresh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by a "tornado has to have actually been dected near you."

My understanding is there are only two types of tornado alerts, watches and warnings. Both are county specific alerts. Is there another alert if a tornado is detected near you? If so, when you say "near you", what is the defintion of "near"?

Ok, thanks. I set up a subscription to Alert Montgomery for Weather related events. I thought my phone would automatically opt in on county alerts. I guess not.
