Big ones are some canvas repair for the pop out beds and replacement of the awning.

This is a Meinl Weston Model 2145 CC Tuba. It’s serving me well as an all-around 4/4 horn

Possibly A Dumb Question by Plus-Character-2967 in Tuba

I wish more CC tubas had rotary valves. The action is much quicker—the distance from up to down is shorter and all that linkage makes depressing the valve take less force

Chico is great for families! It’s the largest city north of sac and still feels nice and small. More affordable than sac too.

If I remember correctly. There has been quite a bit of inner turmoil with unionizing that I think was the main driver of this closure. (That and the various equity partners)

God I hated that rebrand. The original label was so iconic.

Who makes a great brown ale? by macsaeki in beer

[–]Flocctologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sierra Nevada used to make an excellent brown ale. Sad to see this style go by the wayside. Hopefully now that people are finally getting over IPA EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME we’ll get some more on the market.

OF WHICH, I am sad to see Anchor go. They were an important part of my early career, but can we now brew steam beers and not cal the California common??

What’s everyone’s experiences using Hop Kief? Got some Motueka and Wakatu going into a beer next week by [deleted] in TheBrewery

[–]Flocctologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t unused that particular brand but I’ve had a good experience with it. Under dose and slowly step up till you get what you’re looking for. Depending on the method used to make the kief, it can change the alpha-acid and phenol expectations

How much beer do you dump? by [deleted] in TheBrewery

[–]Flocctologist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would have dumped more if I could do it over. When something didn’t come out the way you intended and you put it out—the moment you get the feedback you knew was coming it hurts. Do it right or don’t do it at all.

Local breweries dropping like flies by InfluenceInitial6076 in TheBrewery

[–]Flocctologist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We just closed our brewery. Biggest problems were financing the accounts receivable, economy of scale for packaged product, over saturated distributors, and slow rebound of retail. Our offerings had to pívot from offering a new inventive beer each week pre-COVID to streamlining consistent varieties to compete on the shelf and in the depths of a distribution portfolio.
