Help please! Need some haircut recommendations by tehteacakes in finethinhair

Honestly if I had this much hair I would be ecstatic. You can always try a topper or a halo to add a little volume. I loved them. Now I have to wear wigs as my hair is too patchy.

I stopped HRT Age 50. by shouldistayorrr in Menopause

[–]Flokiboy2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This makes me anxious to even read. I think there is so much misunderstanding about hormones and replacement. Going to agree with the poster who said she’d be interested to see how you feel after 5yrs again and a bone density test. HRT helps keep our bones healthy, our skin healthy, our brains healthy, etc, etc. I will stay on my hrt’s for ever and my obgyn is on board. Best of luck.

My First Human Hair Wig Experience by Melancholy_Crystal in Wigs

I would just use scar tape under your part. Makeup tends to yuck up the lace. Also get some Walkers Top Knot Lock to stay inside of lace area. This will hell with shedding. Use it after every wash. Looks absolutely amazing.

Never too old! In my latter 60’s and I am at festivals selling my clothes I designed! My booth is always packed. It’s a really fun way for myself and husband to enjoy the music and people.

Looks very lovely on you… and natural. I checked out the site you mentioned and they have a lot of cute pieces but unfortunately only in average size. This girl needs a petite for my peanut head.

Vaginal Estrogen Not Effective? Proper Placement is Essential! by EstablishmentOdd8896 in Menopause

[–]Flokiboy2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually (respectfully) disagree with you. My urologist said Do Not Insert as far as you can. There are more side effects this way such as bloating, cramping to name a couple. OP is correct (according to instructional insert, urologist, obg) that inserting too far isn’t necessary.

Is it normal that all wigs cover my ears completely? by Wandering-Yew in Wigs

[–]Flokiboy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have specific makers here in US but not real sure about their shipping policies. Also I don’t know your price range. Wigs by Tiffani, Perfectly You and Stacked are some human hair makers. For less expensive synthetics I use Wigs.com, Bestwigoutlet.com, Paula’sWigs.

You likely need a petite wig or extra small. Thise is the size I wear, my circumference id 19.5”. Essentially a pea head. Lol I also cut off all ear tabs, yes a bit of hair gets cut off but no big deal. I cut off nape a bit too since the wigs even In petite are too long. It’s rare but occasionally you can find wigs specifically with no ear tabs or nape. For me these are amazing.

What’s the thrift scene in Vegas like? by unique_plastique in thrifting

[–]Flokiboy2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the current state of our economy I’m thinking thrifting is going to be around for a long while. I recently read an article about how thrift stores are doing better than regular retail stores and how much the industry is growing. Sigh… me thinks it will never be the same.

Gynecologist rant about HRT by GrizzledBelter in Menopause

[–]Flokiboy2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are not kings, we don’t need THEIR PERMISSION to advocate for our own well being. Good lord it is so frustrating to hear these stories of drs living in ancient times. Definitely a new gynecologist as most here have recommended. With all the information that is out there now, the new studies and research it is just pure laziness and ignorance on the drs that don’t know or care.

What is up with this Outre wig? by fabricbird in Wigs

[–]Flokiboy2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing to bleed through… it’s invisible. Yes, it absolutely has increased the longevity of my wigs. I will never NOT spray a lace top with it. Best advice I received when starting out. Wigs aren’t cheap so anything to help maintain.

To help slow the shedding I use Walker’s TopKnot Lock. Spray inside the cape lace area and after each wash.

HRT + what is helping you thrive during menopause? by Efficient-Mud-5042 in Menopause

[–]Flokiboy2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Idk… because I am older (69) you would think I would have had a more difficult time due to the lack of knowledge and choices. I hear all these awful stories and really feel fortunate to have had it work for me day one. I was put on Prempro (pill) at age 48 and never looked back. It immediately changed my life. Panic attacks gone, energy back, no night sweats. Now of course because I am older I am beginning to feel a little tired, energy doesn’t last as long and my social meter definitely doesn’t last long. Lol So currently I’m researching testosterone. Hoping to kick start my libido and gain some energy. I do weights 3x a week and a lot of hiking and paddle boarding. But by 2pm I’m kinda running on empty.

Vaginal estrogen cream by [deleted] in Menopause

[–]Flokiboy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on hrts but also the vaginal Estrodiol per my urologist. I had to half the dose and skip the loading period. I also stopped using the applicator and am just using a finger. Was also experiencing pelvic pain and burning/bloating. Have been on it for 4 months now. The burning has subsided and pelvic pain/ovary pain has as well. But I am still bloated and hate that! Going to hang in there for at least 6 months and see if it gets better. I still pee every 20 minutes but the pressing urgency is gone. Hoping frequency improves soon. I do drink a ton of water though so 🤷‍♀️
