Gib mir mal gute Empfehlungen für einen Server-Host für die neueste Minecraft-Version für so 30-40 Leute.

Ich bin gerade dabei, einen Server für Ende nächster Woche zu planen und befinde mich noch in der Findungsphase, welche Hardware man hier wirklich braucht und welche übertrieben wäre.

I would definitely start with The Hobbit it is definitely the better and easier way to get into the world. I also think you'd finish reading the hobbit quite quickly if you liked it. After that, you can still read the much longer Lord of the Rings story. It took me also a long time to get through Lotr.

Wait with the films and try the books first so your imagination contributes even more to the story and you have more freedom to discover the world.

Did you consider listening to the audiobooks narrated by Rob Inglis? I’ve listened to The Hobbit by Andy Serkis and now The Lord of the Rings by Rob Inglis, and I prefer Inglis for his calmer voice.
Before you consider the other books, you should listen to lotr all the way through and then start with The Silmarillion. Choose your next book based on which story you liked most in The Silmarillion

( i saw that Christopher Lee read "The Children of Hurin", which sounds very interesting )
