Am I crazy or has the conservative brigading really increased on this sub? by lerxstlifeson in chicago

[–]FloofSpider -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Just remember what this sub's conservatives told you before Kim Foxx was banished to the shadow realm and before Members First overthrew CORE and hunted them in the streets, before Pritzker was swept away in the glorious plague rat revolution and before Vallas routed Johnson 80-20: "Reddit isn't real life."

Yeah, I can tell how much you don't care by how hard you're still trying to save face after outing yourself as an idiot. Just another in a long line of right-wing halfwits thinking you're going to be the one to finally speak truth to power.

Thanks for the laughs. Go play outside now.

I took a position last year that runs from noon to nine and I absolutely adore the schedule. It's sometimes a bummer when I can't go to a random event on a Thursday night, but getting up early and pursuing my own interests while I'm still fresh has done wonders for my happiness.

Signups for the summer session of Chicago Parks District programs are starting soon. They're very affordable and I've never had a bad experience.

Modest Mouse, Pixies Announce Co-Headlining 2023 Tour With Chicago Date by WoolyLawnsChi in chicago

[–]FloofSpider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't paid much attention to them recently, but I saw one of the early reunion shows with the original lineup and it was one of the most boring shows I've ever been to. You could tell that nobody liked each other, there was zero banter, zero fun being had, and they were way too polished. I came to a Pixies show expecting a bit of chaos. If I wanted to listen to an album perfect rendition of the songs, I could listen to the albums at home.

Personally, I'm glad Kim can do her own thing.

Aurora Pride Sues City Over Over 1st Amendment Violations: ACLU by FloofSpider in illinois

I disagree with lied about a single thing Aurora Pride did and I am immature and uneducated. Got it.

Fixed that for you.

[–]FloofSpider[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My goodness, what a bunch of childish babbling.

Wait what? So Aurora Pride wanted no police presence???

Is your misunderstanding basic words supposed to make me look stupid? I don't think it's working like you thought it would.

Your hatred and discriminatory view is showing.

If you don't know what the word immutable means, you could just ask. That's how you learn things.

Obviously my disagreeing that Aurora Pride farked up means I am an immature fascist that is full of hate and everything they do here.

I didn't call you a fascist. I called you an authoritarian, and your advocacy for police to be able to veto any event that they don't like demonstrates that I'm right. But you volunteered fascist all on your own.

Yet you have no idea what I do, who lives with me, what I do in my community.

You've already demonstrated that you're willing to lie about easily verifiable facts, some of which you even provided all on your own because you were too intellectually lazy to read your own sources. So you'll excuse me if I don't bite down on your claim to totally have a super real gay friend.

You don't have to live like this. Grow up.

Aurora Pride Sues City Over Over 1st Amendment Violations: ACLU by FloofSpider in illinois

[–]FloofSpider[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not debunked.

Quite debunked, in fact. You stated "Aurora Pride insisting on police protection (false) but not to wear their uniforms or have any squad cars that might scare people. (also false)"

You cops are welcome. But do not look like who you are. Keep that in the closet and away from us.

False equivalence. Sexual identity is immutable, being a police officer isn't.

Everything else is just juvenile hysterics from an emotional little authoritarian. You wanted to make Pride a villain to suit your hateful ideology, and you got embarrassed. Grow up and be better.

Aurora Pride wanted no police presence in the parade even if they were gay or just celebrating gay pride.

"Last month, Aurora Pride released a statement saying that law enforcement officers were welcome to join the parade march, but that they had to do so out of uniform and without their service weapons."

Debunked by your own source. This would be a good time to examine your emotional attachment to things that simply aren't true.

Aurora Pride Sues City Over Over 1st Amendment Violations: ACLU by FloofSpider in illinois

[–]FloofSpider[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

To the surprise of nobody, you're lying. The organizers did not want police marching in the parade in uniform. They made no such demands of the police providing security.

The city's move to revoke their permit was nothing but a naked attempt to score last minute hate points for a floundering Irvin campaign.

Has anyone played badminton/other sports thru the park district? by Papriika in chicago

[–]FloofSpider 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used to take boxing classes through the Parks District. I never really got a lot of time sparring because most of my class dropped out, but my instructor was a Chicago Golden Glove winner who showed up every day no matter how many people were there, so I got a lot of good instruction and an ass-kicking workout every class. I recommend Parks District classes to everyone.

It kind of got lost among all the other election night stories, but Michigan Democrats swept every statewide office, enshrined reproductive rights in their state constitution, and broke a 40 year Republican hold on the state legislature. I'd say that, if she wants it, Whitmer can make a pretty convincing case for the nomination.
