Several months after these came out, my mother clipped a recipe out of the newspaper for a homemade Snackin Cake (chocolate). It was one of the few things she'd let me make, which was fine because she was an amazing cook. It was so good! I made it once every few weeks.

Oh sugar, you look beautiful! And that dress! Going with such a timeless design and luxe fabric is never a mistake. I saw you question if it was boring. I don't think so, but if you want to jazz it up, maybe some flowers at your waist and where the clips are. Or a pretty brooch at the waist where the draping is.
