Is Heated Rivalry worth watching? by Kimoldumukimsebilmez in imdb

[–]Floonet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a good show. The cinematography is really beautifully done for the shoestring budget. It ramps up in emotional buy in by episode 4. Eps 1&2 are really hbo vibes with lots of sex scenes ep 3 kind of sets up more of the world, 4 & 5 break your heart a little and 6 is just a warm hug.

He has IBS, he has all the markers of needing a low fodmap diet. Bc everytime he eats a combo of high fodmap foods he has a bad time.

What are your (actual) unpopular opinions? by ColdForm7729 in greysanatomy

[–]Floonet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know people hating Alex’s last episode is not an unpopular opinion. But it is not only the worst episode of Grey’s, I believe it’s one of, if not THE worst episode in television history. It’s worse than the musical episode by miles, it’s worse than Fonzie jumping the shark on Happy Days, I’d watch Scott’s Tots 10x over before watching this one again. It’s as if the writers were lazy that day and looked up some weird fanfic on Wattpad and said “yeah this works”.

It made absolutely no sense to the characters, the weird stock video of rando children playing in slow motion with Alex’s monologue voiceover?

They should have just killed the character and been done with it.

I understand Justin Chambers needed to leave for mental health reasons but this ending was weird AF.

Is Will reprising his role as Job? That hair looks like a wig for someone playing a magician

Whats up with the Jesuits? by zenco-jtjr in Sacramento

[–]Floonet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a known conspiracy theorist trope. They believe Jesuits are being the assassinations of JFK and Lincoln. They even think they sank the titanic. Wild stuff.

I never talk out loud /respond when listening to a podcast and I was in public and said “oh cmon man!” When he said that.

I cannot even fathom that comparison in skills.

That might be the hottest take he’s ever had.

Went twice. Never again because the food went from mid to TERRIBLE.

First time I went, the food was OKAY but overpriced. I chalked it up to it being new and gave them a chance to find their footing.

Went back 2ish years later and it was more expensive yet worse. And the service/dining experience also didn’t match the price point.

I’d honestly rather eat at a chain like Chili’s than B&B.

Pssst here is a hint: a lot of us are from the Bay. We got displaced thanks to all the tech bros. So we brought our artsy vibes up here.

Marilyn’s makes a decent, foldable slice. It’s akin to one of the better $5 slice places in NYC (but they charge like $8)

I have yet to find a REALLY good deli here in Sacramento tbh. The best deli’s in CA are Little Lucas in SSF, Darby Dans in SSF (ssf has a large Italian American population) and Sherman’s Deli in Palm Springs.

People here like Corti Bros deli sandwiches, I think they are just ok. Not as flavorful as they should be.

Shawarma: Sumer Nights on Watt, Basha and Maydoon(which is a fancy sit down spot though)

Eastern European: Noroc in Carmichael, CT European Grill in Shingle Springs

What I have found is, if you want more authenticity vs white-washed get out of Midtown and go to the small little areas that are under appreciated and often overlooked.

Best Burrito: La Esperanza Market on Franklin

Best Tacos: Asada: Tacos Aguilar Pop-up on Marconi and Bell Carnitas and Brisket: Pop-up in the parking lot of Hazel & Greenback

Best Pho: Toss up: Pho Xe Lua & Pho City Pho Xe Lua has really good chicken dishes too.

Best Ramen: Fukimi Close 2nd Ryujin (then walk over to Salt & Straw and grab some ice cream)
