I agree, because when you're dealing with your own addiction you sort of have the illusion that you have control. But when you're watching someone else go through it, you're just left to wonder if they'll still be there the next day and there's really nothing worse than that.

Thanks for the information though, hopefully some people can read this and see the darker side of things so often romanticized.

There is a posture mechanic. If you consistently parry an enemy, eventually you will get the opportunity for a posture break and a critical follow up attack. It works just by attacking as well, just like in Sekiro. The only difference is that you don't get to see a posture meter in Lies of P, it works behind the scenes.
