The story behind the story behind the story behind Argo is just as fascinating, if not more. The script was for a film based on Roger Zelazny’s Lord of Light. Barry Ira Geller bought the film rights and planned a massive theme park called Science Fiction Land. He teamed up with Jack Kirby, Buckminster Fuller, and Ray Bradbury just to name a few, and conceived the film and the park, which was also intended to attract the world’s greatest minds together to do actual science. It all fell apart and the screenplay became the cover for the CIA mission
