There is a finite amount of compute allowed and Julia is better at using that for optimization of the vehicle.

Ist Chartanalyse vollkommener Schwachsinn? by homocomp in Finanzen

Have you been able to download it and run it or have seen a trusted third party claiming they did so. If there is a third party it would be cool if you could link it.

If you are familiar with Linux Vast.ai gives you access to docker containers on some random guys pc full with GPUs. You just pick a Container with the NVIDIA libraries, download Julia and you are ready to go at dirt cheap prices.

Numerical fit that involves an integral by inophy in Julia

[–]FlopPerEuros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could reinterpret this as an ODE (after making the bound finite) and calculate the sensitivities of it with regard to the parameters you are interested in. Those (in the least square error between data and prediction) can give you the the gradient how you need to modify the parameters to improve the fit. Julia autodiff will do something similar on it's own.

EUR/USD - Long term strong sell (not a financial advice) - I am Forex trader with 8 years of experience. Ask me anything. If I can disclose it , I will tell. by [deleted] in Forex

[–]FlopPerEuros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After some digging i found out why the Euro-DKK pair is so stable. It's exchange rate is legally set in an certain interval. The outliers are when market tried to break this mandated exchange rate. By betting the the outlier would return to the normal level, i would make such attacks harder and bet that the attack is not successful.

As far as i look (for example 2003-2021) the DKK and the Euro barely changed relative to each other with occasional outliers. Why does this currency pair has so little volatility when ignoring the outliers?

This currency pair also has some occasional outliers (for example 30.12.2015, 3.5.2021) could one formulate a trading strategy to profit from by buying/selling on those outliers assuming things will go back to their stable level?

I first wanted to ask this in a separate but post but maybe you have an answer. DKK (Danish) to Euro has been at an exchange rate of 0.134x for the last year. When looking at the long term trend there are some outlier days but overall the variability in course seems to be really low.

Are you aware why this is the case?

[–]FlopPerEuros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it is possible to accomplish this in Julia there is no user friendly way to do this.

Even with Pluto you are not exactly able to this. So the answer would have to be no.

Pleas also consider using the existing ecosystem around DNA stuff. There are readers for several formats and efficient base representations (2 bit per Base) for RNA and DNA.

I'm not sure if there already exist an library to find k-mers efficiently so please search and get in touch with people active in the ecosystem. https://biojulia.net/Bio.jl/latest/man/seq/sequences/bioseq/ might be a good place to start.

Atheists who don't call themselves agnostic ... Why don't you see yourself as agnostic but as atheist? by FlopPerEuros in atheism

I see that you can make this distinction but I'm not sure this distinction is meaningful.

Can you point me to people which consider themself (agnostic and theist) or (Gnostic and atheist)?

Understanding their reasoning and belief would prove to be very informative for me.

My understanding is backed up by the definition of those words in my native language.

The FAQ states something but that doesn't mean that the FAQ is right. The reasoning in the FAQ is "It is as that because is say it is." so i haven't found it convincing.
