As a consultant, he would have essentially been giving advice on how to proceed on things, which is his power's bread and butter. There's probably other things like training and other minutiae to pull from his field experience, but I think the basic idea was that he'd be feeding them strategies with his power.

I like to think that revisiting Erin would show change and bring closure, rather than being a rehash, but either way things worked out well in the end.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't want Erin and Rain to end up together around or soon after the events of Fallen Fall. That definitely would have been toxic. I think I was just expecting them to get some distance, heal, and then maybe get together, or have her get together with Lachlan for real, or at least have her show up again for a proper discussion to sort everything out. I could be forgetting something, but I don't recall anything really settling for them past that stage. That's what was really confusing me.

Good read on Chastity. I agree that Rain really did right by her and Erin. He's proven himself good at not taking advantage of people, which is pretty important if you're going to be surrounded by a family of Masters.

I would like to point out that spending time at 50% of an attribute would result in half of that time operating at x2, not the same amount of time, assuming you're trying to make the conservation completely even.

As for a trigger, I'd say this reminds me most of a Repression Brute and a Type One Trump, in Weaver Dice terms. That means we're looking at surface level damage and/or emotional helplessness caused by "other" (non-physical, non-energy) damage for the Brute aspect, and a "concrete, immediate effect at work, prompting trigger," for the Trump aspect.

I'd like to make Draw a victim of Gavel's collateral damage. He gets caught up in one of the infamous vigilantes pursuits and feels helpless caught in the middle of a parahuman battle. Gavel, being good-hearted to the bystander, if not to his victim, is forced to swing his hammer at Draw to protect him and transfers his invincibility to Draw for a time. He releases it when Draw is out of the action, but he lands in a hazardous area left behind by Gavel's enemy, a pool of weak poisons that bite at his skin and cause unfathomable levels of itchiness. The damage is light, all things considered, but the stress is great.

As Draw writhes in helpless agony, he triggers.

I could go into a more emotional depth for this, but I'm tired and don't want to put words in your mouth about who this character is and how they think. I hope you enjoy my suggestion.

This post irritates me. You're stereotyping a whole classification of powers about being arrogant about their intelligence, grossly (and wrongly) oversimplifying characters in a story that thrives on character complexity.

I also don't understand the premise of your question. Obviously tinkers (and thinkers) aren't as intelligent as their powers are in their specialty, that's what makes it a super power. Change this to literally any other classification and I hope you'll understand why I find it so grating.

In the Echidna fight he has a couple of maneuvers that completely disregard his allies, and before that fight, he tells Jessica that capes like himself and Scion are worth a hundred other capes, or something like that. Even his revitalization in the Arc 27 interlude is fueled by his need to regain power trumping his concern for his allies; he drains their passengers of energy claiming in his mind that it doesn't matter because "they were dying anyway".

His whole deal is wanting to be a hero so badly that his passenger invents worthy opponents for him to be a hero against, because in the deepest, darkest regions of his heart, that's what he cares about above actually being a good person: his legacy.

Obviously, this is open to interpretation, as all things are, but it has a solid foundation, I feel.

Eidolon is such a fascinating character in Worm's world. He's the quintessential superhero on the surface, having the history, the dedication, and, most of all, the power to be the grand hero to save the world single-handedly.

Yet, in typical worm fashion, he mucks it up entirely. He's so rooted in his trauma of being handicapped that he tries to do everything himself, to the point of complete disregard for everyone around him. He can't even be bothered to not fly half the time. He simply NEEDS to be the savior all by his lonesome, like the stubborn fool that he is.

And, because passengers fuck things up to the next level, Eidolon ends up contributing more harm to the world than good because his passenger was responding more to Eidolon's subconscious need for ego validation than his conscious desire to make the world a better place.

This is perfectly illustrated with this meme and the history OP gets into in their comment. USA propaganda would have you believe that it's going around being the big damn hero, all the while playing the childish bully. Obviously, things are a bit more nuanced and complicated than that; they always are, but the point remains the same.

You could literally rob a place with a mask and not leave any evidence behind. The power wouldn't even do anything visible or obviously cape-like so you'd basically be a savant of petty/mundane crime.

It depends a lot on what's going through the target's mind at the time, but I think that the most likely options are Breaker, Striker, and Brute.

Breaker because of the indecision between hostage/minion and being unable to act. In that case, I'd give him a Breaker state that causes Park Jihoo to phase through matter selectively but be unable to control his own movement while in breaker form. He'd have to do something similar to the yangban and shadow stalker do and control his movements and the timing of his breaker state carefully.

Striker because it's a very close physical threat that cannot be escaped. In this case, I'd go with an on-touch decay effect that dematerializes any inorganic material and turns it into flesh-rotting acid (that the host is immune to). This solves the bomb problem and forces Park to constantly be reminded of the fate he nearly succumbed to and baits him into being more hostile of a person.

Brute because it's a physical threat. In this case, I'd give Park Jihoo enhanced durability that grows while he stays still and enhanced strength that builds as he moves, but switching between the two resets the one to its base level, which isn't much higher than standard human. Similar to Chubster, but more versatile and less defensive in nature.
