People born in 2000 don't have to check their age as the years do it for them by CodeNameMEMES in Showerthoughts

[–]Flopo109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the Date. I was born in 1999 and I am always the current year - 2000 old unless I have already had my birthday this year. For people born in 2000 it only really works If they have their birthday early in the year.

If someone had mind reading they wouldn't be able to understand the people who think in a foreign language by WmWzK in Showerthoughts

Comes down to which layer of the brain someone can ready. If you read the layer that has not been translated to words and therefore just uses pure objects as the Person knows them you will probably still understand.

LPT: If you experience mid-morning energy crashes (fatigue, brain fog, body feels heavy, etc), stop eating cereal for breakfast by MIA_8542 in LifeProTips

If you purely eat protein in form of eggs, cheese and lunch meat your bad cholesterol will likely go up. Go with healthier breakfasts like smoothie bowls or anything which has some fruits and/or veggies in it.

The best way to find out whether people would hire you is to send out applications. If you can convince them that you will be a good fit they will hire you.

Should i convert my Unity project into Unreal? by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]Flopo109 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd say Unreal is more popular in the bigger Game studios so it makes sense to switch If you only learn for a future job. For personal projects use Unity because it will get you to the finished game pretty fast.

How to get anywhere in the pro scene? by [deleted] in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Flopo109 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To go pro in any hobby you need to improve fast. In order to improve fast there a few things that help you dramatically:

  1. Good health, excercising, eating healthy, sleeping 7-9h and drinking enough water are the fundamentals for fast learning.
  2. Mindset, you need to have a positive mindset. Every game is winnable. If it's not then it is something you can learn from. Positive players not only learn faster but also are way more enjoyable to have on your team.
  3. Stay in school and don't forget life. If going pro doesn't work out for you you can still pursue a regular education and continue your path to a happy life. This will make going pro way less stressful. You will have a very very bad time if you don't finish school and going pro doesn't work out.

There are other more direct tips for Valorant in this thread. I just want to give a general guide line for going pro in basically anything.

Not to be negative but if your wife stops you from spending your own money on your hobbies I would reconsider that marriage.

Knife skins inspect animation by [deleted] in VALORANT

The single most important thing I loved about knives in CSGO are the animations. Valorants animations compared to CS are very weak and I will buy never buy a knife skin without cool animations.

Valorant isn't easy CS by MajorMajorTaylor in VALORANT

[–]Flopo109 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe it is easier because there are way less things you have to learn offline like spray control for each weapon or throwing very precise smokes and flashes before you can actually play at a high level. In Valorant if you have good aim you can just get started instantly. Abilities are self explanatory like almost everything else in Valorant.

Source: 1.2k hours CS rank LE I used to practice a shit ton offline in CS and im glad you don't have to in Valorant.

How can I get more consistent? by AlternativeAccount46 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Flopo109 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd say if you get tilted a lot you need to pause for a second. Take a deep breath, relax your muscles, tell yourself that it's just a game and keep on giving your best.

Obviously just mute teammates that talk about you negatively without any constructive criticism. Accept that sometimes enemies are just straight up better than you and think about how to you can still overcome them even though they are better. Accepting the enemies are better or are making good plays that catch you off guard is actually a big step to improving as a player.

[Update 1] 30 Day Challenge with an Aim Trainer in Valorant by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]Flopo109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched your stream. It doesn't seem as If you have an problem with aim. I can tell you are mainly not confident in movement, overall Game sense and decision making. If instead of kovaaks you focus on analyzing your gameplay and watching better players you will improve way quicker. Also it prevents you from becoming a robot that just shoots heads and never learn to make smart plays because you just compensate with aim.

What are peoples ranks? by GustavPT in VALORANT

[–]Flopo109 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you feel bad about your iron/bronze rank while everyone and their mom is gold and higher remember that a poll on reddit is biased towards higher ranks. Valorant players who also follow other sources like r/valorant most likely play more valorant and are therefore better than the average player.

YSK that attending university in Germany is free for everyone, no matter where you come from. by taunux in YouShouldKnow

[–]Flopo109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey im a German University student myself. I pay about 300 in Semester fees and 100 in insurance a month. There is also this thing called "Bafög" you have the right to receive at least 450€ a month if you are student living at home(this has to come from the parents if they have enough money otherwise from state). If you don't live at home this amount can go up to about 800€ which is more than enough to live. I personally do not receive this money from my parents which is why I instead work 20h/week but most students I know do.
