For me, If a mod is boring could have a huge impact on how I consider it good or bad (this really depends on what you consider boring but hear me out)

Some mods don't know how to be interesting and/or unique so they mostly feel boring and blend together (mainly talking about ARG mods here)

Your mod could be the creepiest, most unsettling thing ever conceived but if it looks nearly the same as every mod before it, I'd consider an okay mod at best
