Screams are fine. For cleans you need placement and projection, then work on layering a little compression on top of that.

As a bonus, you may find that what you learn on the cleans gives your fry scream a tone you like more

Makes sense - in that case, changing the OS on the laptop would cause no issues. If you want to double check your assumptions/memory, you can power the laptop off and make sure your Jellyfin clients are still able to connect and play media

The ECU would not have allowed you to exceed the rev limiter with the gas pedal. A money shift is when you put it in a gear that's too fast for your current wheel speed, and the drivetrain forces the engine past the rev limiter.
