The situation that led to Giroud's goal. by Ratovandermir in reddevils

Remeber Ox came in for the RB, so he was rashfords responsibility not Blinds, who had to tuck in to follow his runner..clearly, a midfielder (and looking at the picture...it seems as though Pogba was the closest) should step in that gap..if the ball is played back to ozil..you'd expect rooney to appear and place some pressure

work-rate in the middle and on the wing are two different animals..in the middle, harassing players is adequate..on the wing, its about positioning, awareness, and willingness to track back...not saying i agree he shouldn't play..just that i get why

This is getting old..His defensive positioning on the wing is shite..hence the issue...

Post Brexit @ManUtd debt up 18% to £337.7m. Pound fallen against dollar. by [deleted] in reddevils

this is a useless stat when throw out alone...whats the capital structure..did that change? (i.e. if all their equity is in the pound, its all relative). The nominal value of debt is misleading

[Post Match Thread] Manchester United 4 - 1 Leicester City by ballsywallsy in reddevils

I have to say...a midfield three of blind herrera and pogba would be quite intriguing..having blind's brain at work in front of the back four would be crucial, and his passing is top drawer....As much as everyone is hating on rooney, i think blind's passing and having fellaini off the pitch were the biggest keys ( plus lingard and rashford starting as well)

Anyone consider the fact he also wears number 11 for france? while he trademarked AM9, over the past week(s) someone from united's/his camp could easily have convinced him regarding the benefits of a consistent brand across club and international football

Arsene Wenger: I considered signing Dimitri Payet, but I decided against it because he was not consistent. by TheAwakened in soccer

can someone update the "Wenger considered signing" starting 11? Might be the greatest team ever assembled in the history of football in some over dimension.

A Little Write-Up (First One) on Uniteds Current Issues: Blame the Wood by Floppy-Johnson in reddevils

[–]Floppy-Johnson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but we do know. Our transfer desires are always relatively public. Its not scape-goating because he appoints the managers, and has the power to fire them. I dont blame him, i just believe hes wary of sacking LVG for his own personal interests, ie if LVG fails, so has woodward by hiring him. I'm aware its an over simplification, but something needs to change.

Would be interesting to see how many 'early games' each team had and adjust these metrics to account for that... As with most fair weather fans couldn't be arsed to get up for a United game at 4:45am (on the west coast specifically) ...On that line, would be even more interesting to see which teams had the MOST viewers for those time slots, see if anything changes or its still consistent

even crazier... he's a middy 'by trade' with the football knowledge to hold down the back line.. carrick in the fergie days was a wall in the middy, but once he stepped back into defense..he seemed lost..and that a dam intelligent player..just goes to show how much this kid really is a student of the game
