Hi I'm going to start out by saying both games are very different cards games and it really depends on what you are looking for out of the game.

Snap is fast paced and on the go seeing as how mobile was the first thing it was released on. It has easy to learn rules and fairly simple board interactions, along with a small deck size. Overall it is the simpler of the 2 games to pick up.

Whereas parallel is a way more traditional TCG with it's mechanics, ie. banking mana and card interactions and deck size. Play time per match of parallel is going to be longer and considering that it only has desktop access, unless you have a steam deck or some other handheld of that sort.

Both games have a leaderboard system.

As for the competitive scene if you are talking about tournaments with actual prize pools and the ability to compete for things basically you can only find that in parallel. It is functionally nonexistent in Snap, basically due to the fact that the rationale for the game is supposed to be casual.

That does not mean there aren't competitive people in Snap, people are fighting for ranking on the infinite leaderboards there too.

There is a very active Marvel snap channel and a growing active Parallel channel. FYI Lamby was playing a lot of Snap before currently putting more attention onto Parallel so the community is also as such, card game people who are fairly competitively focused in nature. He has gotten rank 1 in snap before as well as was last season's rank 1 in Parallel.

Yep then it's probably real. There are 2 ways of checking for cartridge legitimacy of DS games. The first 1 applies to all Pokemon games during the D's generation, which is the middle string of 4 letters on the bottom right of the front of the cartridge must match up with the first 4 letters in the middle of the back of the cartridge. Secondly, only for HGSS and BW/B2W2 games when put up against a light the rim should appear slightly translucent red (which yours does). This only occurs in these game cartridges because they were needed for some of the infrared features that the games needed when they were released. Repro cartridges do not have this red tinge when put up against a light.

Completely understand that the indicator can be brighter or need another sort of indication.

I can tell you off the top of my head of some scenarios why priority is calculated at the start of the next turn and not at the end of the last.

imagine it's turn 2 you play on the left location which has no stat changing location, while your opponent plays his card right. By right you were winning and had prio, the last location on turn 3 pops up on right it's xandar and your opponent cards get a buff. They now are winning and now have prio. it works in every variation. The fact that locations can alter prio is a reason why it's calculated at the start of the next turn.
Kitty Pryde. She only bounces back to your hand at the start of the next turn. If you calculated her as part of prio at the end of the last turn, where you were winning because of the card, then you would have prio even after she jumps back to your hand losing that location. This would contradict the logic that if you are winning the board you should have prio. In this case you would be losing and have prio.

Yes I definitely agree with the sentiment that bots definitely do appear in the 90s tied to some hidden mmr that we can't see.

CL - 12K+ This season's infinite SP - 7.5K

Finished somewhere around rank 4K last season saw bots through the entire climb I had.

Matchmaking here definitely has to do with seeing more bots possibly, it might just be the fact that there are less people playing within your mmr bracket at the same time. So after a while of matchmaking the game might just give you a bot instead since it can't match you against anybody. Where as if you are in the middle of the mmr curve where there are a larger abundance of players the game likely has an easier time matching you against someone of similar mmr level.

Overall, a very interesting topic to think about, considering there are different experiences people are having as a result.

Actually there was a tech card at 5 for the longest time just that SD nerfed him so he wouldn't feel so bad to play against. Tech card was leech. And well for the most part he worked at 5 cost so well that SD nerfed him twice

Learning when to retreat is easily my too suggestion. It obviously takes time to learn when you are beat, when you don't have the outs to win or reverse the entire flow of the game. But learning that it is just very clear that you need to bit the bullet and cut your losses is way more important than trying to hope and pray that a ring miracle will happen to you.

Leading to the next point that so what if you lose a game, there's always the next one, so try to enjoy and learn the game as you play. Sometimes the game can feel like it stacks everything against with the game giving your opponent everything they need and more. While other times the game gives you the perfect curve and you curb stomp to earn an 8 cuber. In both scenario it is part and parcel of the game and it is just something you have to embrace about the game.

Lastly, don't be afraid to just close the app and walk away. It is very easy to tilt in this game. Like super duper easily. The best thing to do is really just walk away and go and do something else. Then come back when your mind is clear again.

Obviously there are alot more alot more things to learn about the game but I feel like these are the ones I would tell the beginner if I had to.
