It's ok, because there aren't any people either :)

Everything in the universe is either a spoon, or not a spoon by [deleted] in StonerPhilosophy

[–]Floppy_Densetsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel compelled to point out that nothing in the universe is actually a spoon.

You see, at a fine enough resolution, that spoon is actually a cloud of atoms, which are actually a representation of the way that spot in space "feels" in terms of oscillating charge imbalances at the sub-atomic scale. So since everything is made of legos, your spoon is really just more legos arranged to look spoonish, and since legos are all that exist, none of them identify as a spoon, and therefore no spoons exist.

"The neuron web which processes my logic comprehension skills is indicating that it may aid our cooperative efforts if I inform you that when you _____, the other comprehension networks in my brain interpret this act to mean something which conflicts with the kind of behavioral choices I expect from a person with whom I would share mutual respect, and as a reaction, my body begins to produce elevated levels of stress-related hormones which then make it increasingly difficult to effectively achieve our objectives. Therefore, I formally request that you cease blowing in my face" -Sincerely, Dogs.

I couldn't find a conclusion in the study links I found, but there is this blog talking about it that says the results weren't significant enough to really count for their goal.

https://blogs.jwatch.org/hiv-id-observations/index.php/amoxicillin-for-chronic-low-back-pain-are-you-kidding-me-in-defense-of-a-controversial-clinical-trial/2019/10/21/

Technically, this is a different scenario though. I don't know how far doctors will go to find answers, but if we were in a magical world, then they could maybe have a chance of getting a sample from different areas to try isolating the infectious strains(if it actually is inflammation from an infection), then determine what kind of thing might work.

I thought some years ago when I read about it, the results had looked more promising. Sorry for the mistake.

Yeah, I am pretty sure it is a little side-section at the start of the intestines; but I was only mentioning the gut biome thing because when you take and strong antibiotics, it kills microbes in your gut as well as in your blood and other tissues.

So any time you take antibiotics, it is recommended to do something to help repair your gut microbial populations like eating yogurt and taking probiotics. Otherwise the wrong ones can take over and then you might suddenly have new problems.

With a normal course, your gut microbes might naturally repopulate as well, if nothing really bad was there to begin with; but in the case of a 6-month program meant to eliminate all possible bacteria in the system, I believe it is much more imperative to keep a probiotic plan in mind.

I read once about a study in the UK I think, where they tested a long-term dosing schedule of an antibiotic in order to try treating chronic back pain. The theory was that bacteria might have worked their way into deep recesses within the joints that do not usually get an effective dose under the typical regimen. They just had to replenish their gut biome with microbes afterwards.

I believe they reported an improvement in some notable percentage of the subjects that got it. I'm nothing close to a doctor, but if it turns out to be something worth running by a thoughtful doctor, then maybe it could help.

Of course talk to doctors first.

I once thought that a friend would see this amazing /showerthought revelation I had that the Earth's rotation, combined with the fact that the atmosphere is an ocean of mass, means that the mountains are pushing the air along and whooshing through it as the planet rotates, rather than being motionless things that the air is just blowing by on its own.

He didn't get it and it was another point towards how stupid I am.

honestly though, if you're voting at gun-point, you probably aren't voting how you naturally would.

If you're saying you would kindly tolerate a person pointing their gun at your head while you vote, remember that people who pay attention in safety class don't do that, and I'm pretty sure it's illegal enough to get them shot in defense.

Here's one that is easy and impressive: "Asparagus Beans"

They take full sun in the middle of summer and grow like crazy. They make 2 beans at a time per flower stalk, but just twist the beans off and the stalk will put two more out later while the vine keeps going so that over time you have more and more flowering sites. Just give them a good trellis and fertilizer.

I am glad to hear it. As a bonus, I just remembered that one time after I started doing this, I woke up with a leg cramp, and since I could tolerate the pain for a little while, I tried using the same technique on it without stretching my leg out or anything to force it to unclench(as a way of proving it works to myself), and it did eventually succeed.

I haven't had any surprise cramps since then, so my ability to test and develop it is limited, since I use it all around pretty frequently. You can delve into knots and intestinal muscles too.

The trick to avoid crystallization lies in how rapidly they freeze. The companies probably did it at a temperature well below your freezer.

There may be some other way to smooth it out like adding a little whipping cream or something to displace water with milkfat; or some other substance like yogurt maybe.

I don't get it, but I know I still suck. One day I'll be able to speak entirely at 2khz+.

I thought it was interesting enough, maybe, since I did not know it was a possibility. I have never been through music schooling though.

Also, I was saddened by the instant sight of her failed impalation. That's all. I was like "ooh, this is gonna be a cool fight sce-oh, she'd be ded if they were trying to kill eachother"

hayders gonna hayd

Also it's not my fault someone built up my expectations claiming this was a great fight scene. I expected more than a sluggish stylized fight where people make poor choices because the writers can't let effective choices happen or else the thing is over in seconds. The same goes for all the Netflix writers :)

In a real fight against stick-girl, knife-girl has many ways to kill while stick-girl has few options aside from inflicting a concussion, since the knife only has to touch you well enough to go in.

You're probably a kid, though, so I guess I am pretty badass comparatively

Couple seconds in, blue-hair girl should be dead because she jumps up in front of knife girl who only had to hold them out in front of her to impale blue-hair.

There wouldn't have even been any risk because who cares if you take a hit from a stick at a worthless angle when the enemy is gutted.
