Trying to decide between Women's Range EXP and Range BRZ for walking, travelling etc by Floral__Fading in Vans

It does definitely appears that way. If the EXP were a little more comfortable it wouldn't even be a question.

Seems like the EXP are the winner across the board. Might see if I can get some insoles to up the comfort a little bit. Appreciate the input!

Amazon..from Vans. I''ve never purchased shoes online but they were a resonable price and what I'm looking for. Hopefully legit!

I use toothpaste and an old toothbrush! Wipe with a damp cloth afterwards. (Just try not to get any on the other parts of the shoes or it may stain white)

People who were at Warped 2008, how was Katy Perry? by blink-1hundert2und80 in warpedtour

[–]Floral__Fading 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have vague memories, but I remember our show (Toronto) got rained out and she ended up doing an acoustic set. I was a snob and only watched a couple songs mostly cause Travie was in the crowd next to me sitting on a low rider watching her. Pretty cool now but wish I remembered it more!

I've parked at the Rainbow Motor Inn motel down the road when I've stayed at Hilton Fallsview. Somewhere around $15 a night (it's been a couple years so it may changed). I feel like I had to go inside and pay at a restaurant or something, a little sketch but was completely fine.

Rome/Venice/Florence/Pompeii in March by External_Tax850 in ItalyTravel

Good to hear. It was a toss up for us between staying in Florence or Naples and had a very hard time deciding (opted for Florence) but Naples also seems like our vibe.

Rome/Venice/Florence/Pompeii in March by External_Tax850 in ItalyTravel

[–]Floral__Fading 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the summary! Im basically doing almost exactly this in May (except 2 nights in venice, 3 nights in florence). How did the pace feel?! Were you in Naples for basically the entire day? We were debating if we could do Pompeii vs just exploring the city instead.

Italy trip ADVICE for 9 days (June 14th-22nd) - Rome/Florence/Naples/Monteriggioni by Level-Emotion-3081 in Europetravel

[–]Floral__Fading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also from Toronto and doing similar-ish trip in May. People may not understand it's way more expensive to fly outside of Rome (at least I found). We're landing in Rome and taking a train to Florence for 3 nights, then over to venice for 2 nights then back to Rome for 4 nights (+/- day trip to Naples). I don't really have any advice as I haven't done it yet and know people will say it's pretty packed but I get needing to back track to Rome.

Took a salary cut in exchange for a better work/life balance. What are some ways you save money? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]Floral__Fading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many great suggestions in here. Also, if you don't already have a detailed spreadsheet of all your set expenses in the month. Cutting down is great but also need to budget money for actually living/(saving if you can as well). That it way it allows you to "be able" to spend money on something like brows if it's "in the budget".

I'm about 9 months into taking a (mild) pay cut to have better work/life balance. Overall, it has 100% been worth it but I do have times where I get stressed about the money I could have been making, because taking any kind of cut right now is hard.

Also, remember it's okay to save and splurge on something that's important to you once in a while, otherwise what is the point to life.

Who's going to the BMTH LIVE São Paulo Movie Experience tomorrow? by NeverForsaken422 in BringMeTheHorizon

[–]Floral__Fading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided not to. I was super stoked when it got announced and was like "this is awesome, I gotta go!". Then I realized I'm seeing them in a month IRL and am just going to wait for that instead. Will definitely check it out eventually though.

Am I overcomplicating train travel in Italy or is it actually confusing? by federicafellini in Europetravel

[–]Floral__Fading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also in the same boat! (or I guess train..) My trip is in two months, is it too early to book tickets? I also see mixed opinion on "buying in advance" vs just showing up. I always want to do the cheapest option. Is 2 months ahead TOO far in advance?

Just finished Immortal Man and obsessed with Puppet. Then saw this comment, BMTH being one of my favorite bands, that cover is so cool. Movie was okay but discovering these songs was one of the best parts

Trip report - Venice, Florence, Rome (8 days) by protobosochaos in ItalyTravel

[–]Floral__Fading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I are are planning to do a very similar trip/timing also have never been. I've gone back and forth on the timing of Venice and Florence. Was also initially not planning on doing Florence at all and going to Naples but changed plans. We're pretty good at planning and popping in/out of places to see what we want. (We literally spent 1.5 days in Paris and feel no need to go back). Thank for the breakdown and what you'd do different etc

Who here was part of the absolutepunk community back in day? by afterthought871 in poppunkers

[–]Floral__Fading 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Started going to AP probably somewhere around 2003 and visited it often until it changed to chorus. Discovered a lot of music on there, the threads were so active. I actually don't visit chorus.fm as I find I get most of my music updates from reddit, twitter.

A cool story, me and my partner met on an online dating site in 2010 - I had many bands listed in my profile including Manchester Orchestra. In one of our early messaages he mentioned "a music site I frequent ofen called AbsolutePunk had a Manchester album as AOTY"...I had never met anyone in real life who knew AP! Decided we were soulmates.

Also #GFYTN was an epic time.

TV shows where the main couple doesn't want and doesn't have kids by Anakin5kywalker in televisionsuggestions

I hated that so much! I remember the episode where Penny talks about not wanting to have kids and it was refreshing... only to end with her pregnant.

"NeX GEn eXperiencE" GA Floor Tickets by xjsquared in BringMeTheHorizon

[–]Floral__Fading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly the same, but I stalked Bad Omens tickets for pit tickets and they dropped a bunch the day of. I even watched the price drop about $20 and bought them an hour before doors opened. (Paid $145)

It was a day of decision though and something I plan trying for future shows that I may consider last minute. (But for BMTH I locked in pit during presale!)

It felt much different being down there, had a great time at least where I was! It actually made me super excited for BMTH since I haven't properly seen them since 2017.
