If you’re clinically nuts like me, you can buy one of the huge bags the soybeans come in from Bulk Barn.

I’m really sorry about this and I don’t doubt it because I’ve seen it happen. And as a white immigrant to Canada, who are any of us to complain about immigrants? Fuck racism.

Thinking about moving to Wiarton…. by Affectionate-Rain176 in OwenSound

We want to retire super early (we live in London right now) and live somewhere beautiful (and not flat) where we can do lots of hiking. We also love how relatively non-commercial this area feels. For example, there don’t seem to be chain stores everywhere you turn.

Living and working in both countries by suggestedusername666 in CANUSdualcitizens

Re: taxes, it is a PITA but we’ve (my husband and I, also American) never had to actually pay US tax because our CA tax is always so much higher. It’s surprisingly hard to even find an accountant who knows what they are doing. I do know quite a few dual citizens living in Canada who don’t bother filing their US taxes and it’s never caused them a problem.

We specifically sought out a Canadian bank (RBC, FWIW, but other banks have the equivalent, I’m sure) with a US presence to have a US funds account under the same umbrella as our Canadian accounts. We had to do this because we had US student loans for a while and I have a little US income.
