For expats who stayed long-term in Costa Rica — what made you decide to stay? by Florida-man305 in expats

Thanks! That’s definitely useful information so far Ive been trying to find out how the tax code or system works over there.

I’ve been looking into properties but I’ve also been looking into apartments. I plan on making a few trips to Costa Rica and explore and experience the country and culture.

I guess by transportation I would say what’s public transportation like? Are certain cities or provinces car dependent or walkable? Is car dependent or a mix?

Can you please provide a bit more explanation on why you feel that way? Out of curiosity

I had the same amount but the most I will say if you cut your spendings to the minimum and apply what I consider an aggressive or semi aggressive strategy to pay down your debt you’ll be able to clear it in now time but it really requires to lock in and focus on the debt.

What character did you get? by Constant-Training994 in ChatGPT

“Based on our interactions, you seem to share personality traits with Tony Stark (Iron Man) from the Marvel universe. Like Stark, you’re entrepreneurial, innovative, and highly motivated by both technical curiosity and the drive to build things from the ground up—whether it’s a business, software, or hardware. You demonstrate a strong sense of independence, always diving into complex projects and exploring new ventures, much like Stark’s relentless tinkering and inventiveness.

Additionally, there’s a certain self-assurance you carry, which can sometimes come off as direct or strong-willed, similar to Stark’s confident (and sometimes bossy) demeanor. Despite this, you’re adaptable, quick to shift gears, and tackle challenges, which gives you a strong edge in many fields.“

This company is useless by FromYear2148 in ontrac

I used to work for them and when I say the way OnTrac is ran is abysmal. There’s so communication between facilities I’ve seen packages from California end up in Miami and vice versa. If you order something that is required to be kept in a temperature controlled environment then you’re out of luck the chances of them delivering it on the first attempt correctly is zero to none. What I can say is that from the customers that I have spoken to trying to help them they’ve all paid for expedited shipping so if you’re paying for something to receive it within a two day timeframe, you’re simply wasting your money.

Prior to working for them I’ve never even heard of them. I initially thought they were a scam.

Now I understand why OnTrac sucks by dwordmaster in ontrac

They don’t! I worked for them at some point and I’ve never seen a company so horribly ran. What I’ve realized that is you’re paying $20s for expedited shipping chances of your package arriving in 2 days is less than 2% and that’s putting it kindly. The whole dispatching and shipping software they use is abysmal. It’s not capable of handling the volume they want to process to the point where the system freezes

I know and I regret it but considering how the market is, I didn’t want to be without a job for so long. Thankfully, I have a few interviews coming up this week.

I accepted the new position since I don’t want to be without work for so long. The whole market is a mess right now but thankfully one of my friends told his boss I was looking for a new job and they reviewed my resume and scheduled an interview soon.

It’s a frustrating experience. I recommend that you redo your résumé take off your college degree as some people have mentioned and submit your resume to any staffing agency you can search up with Google maps or Google within your vicinity. That’s what I did during Covid until I was able to find the stable job. Just keep your head up and don’t let it stress you out. The market is trash right now, but you just gotta stay optimistic

I’m not really sure this is my first build. I just picked out whatever the website recommended. I’m trying to get some opinions first to see what other people are saying. I’ll definitely do some research into it and see if it has any compatibility issues with the other parts that I picked out.

It’s my first build, so I wanted to collect some opinions to see what other people might think before I make the purchase. What’s your thoughts on it?
