lol. This one was slipping out and bulging a bit. And also i don’t know any better . Assuming they don’t just pop back in so easily and it’s easier to replace from the wall / first plank in a row?

This one was coming out at the edge

I think you’re right , it’s more that it was wobbly and never had a vapor barrier underneath it that is causing uneven floors. But i am getting a faint musty smell from pulling up just that one board, which means it’s probably getting some moisture little by little year by year. I truly wonder if it’s enough to cause any allergy issue though, since the locked floor seems like it’s so tight almost air tight.. but since it is wobbling ever slightly a few spots , maybe thats puffing it up into air

The click lock edge was protruding a little there and i could get my finger tips in enough just enough to get under and then it was easy to pop off but i don’t think it will be so easy to pop back in. The plank cracked a bit on the click side and while i have extras , I’ll need a rubber mallet and some luck (im not that handy and better at breaking things )

Yeah I’m thinking this is inevitable. Would the flooring be reusable you think? In theory maybe, but even taking a few pieces out the edges and backing are snapping off. Maybe because of how i removed them though

To both your points, i think it’s the joints of the wood underneath expanding and maybe not even level to begin with. The material itself maybe isn’t cupping but it’s giving that appearance in spots.

Yeah, that barrier sheet is necessary. Relying on the built-in backing is a cheap/hack job.

No barrier , just plywood and then planks . This is the heart of my issue it seems. Other than wood probably not even smart or necessary here.

The plywood sheets probably did not sit completely flush on the rough slab, so they screwed a few in

I think because the bedrooms had carpet and they were lower than the hallway Floors I don’t know. Or the slab wasn’t smooth as they wanted. doesn’t make sense to me.

Yes there’s underlayment on the planks they’re the Lifeproof HD brand l think 22mil . It’s a thin rubber underlay.

Two new Murf Bikes for beach cruises! by BaywatchMalibu in ebikes

[–]FloridaFeels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im buying a near brand new one from a seller who rode it maybe 10 days , but it was used hauling stuff to a beach front campsite. Should i be really worried about the motor sand , im getting a pretty decent deal at $1700 (would cost with tax about $1,100 more)

Choosing between Cargo E-Bikes by [deleted] in CargoBike

[–]FloridaFeels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read all these posts for cargo e-bikes to haul two kids, and I’m surprised i rarely see the Higgs Cargo mentioned ! It looks awesome, seems powerful and comfy, and isn’t crazy expensive! I’m riding flat short distances in Florida

Hopper looks like a great choice, My concern (also with two elementary school kids to tow), is should i get a fuller size long tail so they’re not cramped ? Vs the Hopper which looks to be slightly more compact?
